nothing brought up the thought, i finally got 'round to typing it here. it's nice when faith and science work together, but i don't think it is necessary. there has been so much wasted energy put into this battle between religious dogma and scientific exploration of theory. why should they need to match up? the true seeker in either field is seeking Truth. there are always going to be those who only seek to be comforted by whatever they believe to be true - and that can be scientific, religious, social..., it matters not.

we saw RENT last night. OMG. heartwrenching. i felt dumb sobbing through the last 1/3 of the movie, but afterward i realized that most of the people in the theatre did the same thing. just plain wow. if i see it again, i'll be sure to have a box of tissues.
