Well then. I am more than a little pleased with my new computer. biggrin

a) It works.

b) It works well and very, very fast. (the hyperthreading technology for the Pentium 4 does actually make a difference, as I'm currently running three other applications quite smoothly)

c) All seventeen glorious inches... of my monitor.

d) New subwoofer.

I would write more, but I have to play...

I do not feel old this evening. biggrin

I am wearing a full corset, a good amount of makeup, a velvet jacket, and listening to fantastic industrial music (Atz+Pfutsch- Love) while waiting for the final compatriat in our venture out to Manray.

Oh, and I've already had three Drambuies on the rocks.

*dreamy sigh over how restrictive my corset is*

Oh, and you can see my...

I felt old last night, and it scared me.

I was at work from 8:45 AM to 7:45 PM, and I was in a very blah mood, and my legs hurt. (as they are wont to do after standing for almost 10 hours) I wanted to have fun and do something entertaining, but I just didn't have the energy for it. Instead of going out...

I have been feeling old a lot lately.

I used to be able to study all night, until 4 or 5 or 6 in the morning if I needed to. I can't anymore. So my performance has gone down. I can't get as much done as I need to. And that has not had good effects.
flipmuhpina:
YOU OLD FART! tongue Jks

I been feeling old ever since I turned 20 last July... frown

Fashion Victims tonight at Manray!

I'm so ludicrously excited. The article in yesterday's Globe was awesome (though I'm still a bit ambivalent about most of Boston having the chance to see me in my corset before the show...).

Everyone that can should come tonight. We're the headlining show, and going on around 1.

Mehfleh. surreal

I put in about 11 hours at work today attempting to clean up other peoples' messes before our store manager returns from vacation tomorrow. There are still 52 boxes of unprocessed new merchandise that have lain untouched since they arrived on Thursday, so my own puny efforts really won't count for much on the balance of things.

I hope that I can actually manage...

In light of all that has happened this week, I want to make a profound statement. I want to stand up for my beliefs, to act in accordance with my deepest and most strongly held principles, and yet I find myself mute and quiescent.

What can I do?

I eat, sleep, work, and play video games. I go to dance practice. I continue as I...

So Bloodfeast fucking ruled.

Although we weren't quite as packed as we had hoped, the evening was a definite success. The space, the Jorges Hernandez Community Center on 85 W. Newton St. in the south side, was absolutely awesome. Good acoustics, plenty of room, cool interior design, and some surprisingly huge and high quality speakers were all excellent appendages to our little evening out.

Most...

Good GOD! I love a boy in makeup and a kilt.... Damn you know what makes a girl like me all crazy inside. I do have to ask if you'd do a little dance for me in your kilt.. with your bagpipes, if it is at all possible...
well...hi.. my name is Shaneka and I would love to just say hi and get past the first little bashful post of undying love, perhaps just visual lust, however.. Hello...

Tonight has been one of the strangest evenings of my life. Shaving my arms and part of my chest for Bloodfeast was very surreal... (And those of you who saw my halloween costume last year know that I have no problems with my own arm and chest hair). It's all so very strange...and somewhat cooler.

Everyone should come to Bloodfeast tomorrow night. It'll kick ass....

Thanks for telling me about the LJ community. I hadn't noticed the link. Sadly when I got there I found out this Bloodfeast thing is 21+. DAMNIT.
