The Apocalypse was great fun. I met Shalome, bean, reprobate, and several other SGLA members. Favorite part of the night:
shalome: He just kicked my ass
reprobate: No, I kneed you in the ass
me: What did you just say?!
Reprobate: I kneed her in the ass
grins and subdued laughter all around
The "industrial" dj also played Nightmare by...

Well it's been two days and the "Post You Number" thread is still alive, sort of. It seems to have reached a stage of becoming insular. The first night was awesome when it was a bunch of random fuckbags calling each other to say hello, and trying to put voices to the words we see on the screen. I'm watching to see how far it...

i almost called your phone number right now but i can never tell how late people are up. This is unlike me, usually i am very phone phobic.
I've got this project in mind. I think I'll call it an art project to make it sound, you know, important. Before I lay out the idea around the project itself, here's a little background.
When I was 15 I rread Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein. From this book I got the idea of an art project involving a series of events/emotions/thoughts arranged...

Goddamn cable modem went down again this weekend. Another 2 days without SG. What did I miss?!
To pass the time I bought myself Half Life 2, and man has it fulfilled that mission. I almost missed the Skinny Puppy shows so I could stay home and kill aliens. Almost, but not quite. I made it to both shows, both of which were a little...

Well, of course my take on the WTO is that it's awful.. Yeah.. um, cool. Actually, ironic tradgedy, like I said, is more like it.. It can only stand to hurt the American people, not the bureaucrats that fed the WTO/neocolonialism machine.. I guess it's some sort of false justice, kind of like capital punishment, I suppose.. I'm really not sure exactly what to make of it, yet, either.. I suppose it would be good if it made the WTO less powerful, and America for that matter, but I'm not sure if that will end up being the case..
I hear what you mean about music.. Maybe I was asking if there was any music that is universal or multifaceted enough to never get sick of.. The song I mentioned is, well.. extramundane. transcendental.. Something. I just don't think I could ever get sick of it.
Have a good week

An A-Team movie is in Development.
Thanksgiving did not go as expected. The plan had been to go my uncle Tom's (yes, I have an uncle Tom. Feel free to snicker) and have dinner with the family. I'm not fond of my uncle, but I'll give him this - that fucker can cook. Unfortunately, he's a conservative republican, and loves to remind me and my mother of that every time we...

you stopped @ 667 posts.... so disapointed.
I was driving home down Melrose last night, when I found myself in an analogy.
Melrose is a four lane street, with two lanes on each side. At night (and maybe during the day. I don't drive down Melrose during the day, so I don't know) cars are parked all along the sidewalk side lane, making that lane unusable. So Melrose is also a two...

hello and i recon its a two lane street in a normal car but if you have a tank or monster truck then it is a four lane street
In a few hours I'm heading out to dinner with violetflux, her.... uh friend(?) and Beth and her new boi. I'm not big on the whole fifth wheel aspect of this event, but I was asked to go, so go I will. Anyway, I haven't had Indian food in over a month now, and I'm about due. After that I'll be going to Dungeon....

Well true black, as a pigment, I believe is impossible... Nothing can absorb 100% of the light.. Except maybe, aptly, black holes.. I think most things we think of as black are actually very dark violet, if I remember right..

I have to get away from that thread!
I can't sleep, and I've done more than my fair share of board-whoring. Instead of roasting my eyes with my monitors bright radioactive fury any longer, I'm going to read AdBusters. If that's not enough to put me to sleep, I also picked up George Carlin's new book When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops? I may just enter that into The Question Game thread...

I love the title of that book. It's even better with the picture.
Yeah, it seems like they were just surprised that my essay was even formatted correctly. It was nothing spectacular, but they way they reacted, you'd think it was the cure for cancer I turned in.
I used to live in OC, down in San Clemente. It's not too far away. (depending on traffic)

Ta! Why change? And why change back? (If I may be so bold.)
Kaiser is going to be difficult about me moving to Portland. They have an option to refuse patients transfering from other states, and although they haven't exercised it yet, the sound of the Member Services woman on the phone when she saw that I had Medicare didn't sound promising. They are sending me an application, and that should be here in a few days. Then...

I've gotten to an age where I realize that all my mad DOS skillz are never going to do me any good. The organizing and shuffling skills learned from hours and hours of Spider Solitaire and Freecell are never going to be put to use saving my friends from some ingenius puzzle trap. All the time I spent on Minesweeper will never amount to any...
