I am sorry for the way your life has been turned on end but allowing someone else's actions affect us (as people) for too long is no way to live.
I forced myself to forgive someone not because they deserved it but because I deserved to be free of the hurt they caused. It was a completely different situation but hanging onto negativity gives you wrinkles.

I was in a poly relationship for about 10 years. I had one primary and secondaries who drifted in and out of my life, lasting only a few months at a time before they wandered on to other loves and other lives. I'm still close friends with one of the secondaries, a friendship I'll continue to cherish for as long as I live, I suspect. Another has died and left us all a few months ago, a hurt which I know will fade with time but never go away entirely.
In the end, I left the partner of 10 years, for a lot of reasons -- some good and some purely selfish, to be honest.

I don't know what his reasons were, but relationships come and go.
I nearly lost my current (an one hopes, permanent) relationship last night (still am not certain I haven't, but things are looking up).

It's gonna hurt for a long long time. Beyond thinking about you and hoping for the best (or better), I don't know what I can do from 2000+ miles away. But if you can think of anything, just ask.
