What is the very first thing you can remember. Your earliest memory? Hmmm Maybe my father listening to an album called Dark horse or looking at the Tea for the Tillerman album cover because it was full of things that little people like to look at. Or maybe it was seeing red and blue lights at the front door while my parents were still together.

2. How often, if ever, is Masturbation a part of your life? Not enough nowadays. It is my new years resolution to make time to love me more... and more.

3. If there is one thing you could do that would greatly change the effectiveness of your daily life that you KNOW you should do but haven't done, what is that one thing? Maybe buy my years worth of planner pages for my franklin planner. On them everything can be wrote down and planned out for the future, as little as next week or next month. A lot can happen in a year. A LOT.

Dude... I'm always talking shit about believing in horoscopes but DAMN they always seem to nail the events in my life right on target. That one seems eerily prophetic in light of recent events, and it sounds fucking sweet! Hope it applies to both of us.

Also... there can never be too many single women at a party, but that's a helluva invite. And that house... talk about sweet.

I think that's totally awesome that you left.

Both of those are pretty good first tries. The first is better than the second. It's the cognitive leap that makes the sense of space that matters most. In English most people don't worry about a haiku having five seven five because our language just doesn't compress as much meaning into our syllables.

The book I have been reading on Haiku that I've been enjoying is Zen Wave: Basho's Haiku and Zen by Robert Aitken, I picked it up in a Chapters. It is good because it includes a poetic translation, a straight translation and the original japanese in romanji. Romanji is our alphabet. Then the Roshi Aitken goes into some of the linguistic elements and further into a discussion of the meaning of the poem for a student of Zen.

What is it about this time of year that makes things that would normally be enh its not that bad turn in to oh my god this is my life?

I remember a dream I had as a child. A house I lived in while in elementary school behind a creek. Before we had a doorwall installed there was just a normal door there in the backyard and I was fighting with all my might to keep the door closed against a mighty tidal wave coming up from the creek. We had a very very deep backyard but that didn't explain why it took so long for the wave to hit. It kept growing in size as it crept towards the house and I remember bracing myself against the back paneled wall. I was pretty naive to think that me holding up the wall would keep the wall and thus the house there, and I don't remember anyone else being home as was the case a lot of the time. I woke up right before it hit but it did leave it's mark. I woke up in a sweat and it is obviously still with me today.

I feel for all of them, and and us. We are all affected and should be.

It was nice to hear, though. I remember times when I took my parents for granted.

This will be a great day for meditation, dear Pisces. You may be a bit dissatisfied with yourself because your various projects have yet to take form. You are impatient, but who wouldn't be? This waiting period has lasted for about two months now, but will soon come to an end. The planetary energy asks you to consider only what is essential for you. Don't allow yourself to start new projects based on anything superfluous.
