1) Favorite food?
2) The colour of the sky in your dreams?
3) Have you ever eaten anything that could be considered "not food", on a dare or otherwise?

Hey, I read that American Gods too, it was pretty good.

wow that was a fast 10 days.
Waking up this morning, the alarm went off (which is something I don't think I have actually heard for 10 days now)
After that first blast of the alarm, anxiety woke me more fully and much faster than the rest of the alarm did.

I didn't really make any new years resolutions this year. I feel such a...

Heh, catch up will ya. I've been on my crashless course for a while now wink Well not that long but.... long enough to make me wonder if I truly have control. Who knows? Only time will tell I think. That and dreams, I still believe in dreams.

Good luck with the cleansing. smile

Pisces: A change of Image:

The mirror never lies

Youre seductive and alluring! And youre mysterious. (Youre into costumes) Its as if youre plugged into your own wavelength. (you pick up heavy metal radio in your fillings) Although youre giving and self sacrificing, many of you are attracted to the arts dance, photography, film, moviemaking and music. Youre sign rules the feet, hence your natural...

"favours" Another one! LoL

What is the very first thing you can remember. Your earliest memory? Hmmm Maybe my father listening to an album called Dark horse or looking at the Tea for the Tillerman album cover because it was full of things that little people like to look at. Or maybe it was seeing red and blue lights at the front door while my parents were still together.

2. How often, if ever, is Masturbation a part of your life? Not enough nowadays. It is my new years resolution to make time to love me more... and more.

3. If there is one thing you could do that would greatly change the effectiveness of your daily life that you KNOW you should do but haven't done, what is that one thing? Maybe buy my years worth of planner pages for my franklin planner. On them everything can be wrote down and planned out for the future, as little as next week or next month. A lot can happen in a year. A LOT.

Dude... I'm always talking shit about believing in horoscopes but DAMN they always seem to nail the events in my life right on target. That one seems eerily prophetic in light of recent events, and it sounds fucking sweet! smile Hope it applies to both of us.

Also... there can never be too many single women at a party, but that's a helluva invite. biggrin And that house... talk about sweet.

Shamanic introspection is not to be ignored, but there's always time for shamanic introspection, I've found.

Here's to lots of jammie smoke lounging parties in 2005!

IT CAN BE MIDNIGHT

Sometimes on a schooner when the clouds are bloated to the point of
Reaching down to the sea to dip in and release their black cargo into the salt
Without raining
You are standing on the bow.

It can be midnight somewhere and the sails are down
The surface of the depths holding you high above the abyss is
Black flat...

well, let's get that post way the hell and gone already.
I found some inspiration today. I don't know where it was... coolheart asked me what motivated me to finally get around to tackling all this stuff around here and all I could come up with was: realizing I didn't have any motivation is what motivated me. I have no idea why that made sense,...

Both of those are pretty good first tries. The first is better than the second. It's the cognitive leap that makes the sense of space that matters most. In English most people don't worry about a haiku having five seven five because our language just doesn't compress as much meaning into our syllables.

The book I have been reading on Haiku that I've been enjoying is Zen Wave: Basho's Haiku and Zen by Robert Aitken, I picked it up in a Chapters. It is good because it includes a poetic translation, a straight translation and the original japanese in romanji. Romanji is our alphabet. Then the Roshi Aitken goes into some of the linguistic elements and further into a discussion of the meaning of the poem for a student of Zen.

I remember a dream I had as a child. A house I lived in while in elementary school behind a creek. Before we had a doorwall installed there was just a normal door there in the backyard and I was fighting with all my might to keep the door closed against a mighty tidal wave coming up from the creek. We had a very very deep backyard but that didn't explain why it took so long for the wave to hit. It kept growing in size as it crept towards the house and I remember bracing myself against the back paneled wall. I was pretty naive to think that me holding up the wall would keep the wall and thus the house there, and I don't remember anyone else being home as was the case a lot of the time. I woke up right before it hit but it did leave it's mark. I woke up in a sweat and it is obviously still with me today.

I feel for all of them, and and us. We are all affected and should be.

I can remember a Christmas once, I was 15.

This particular year, it was my Aunt and Uncle that were hosting the festivities 3 hours north of Calgary in Sherwood park. The plan was, that we would basically get packed up and leave Cowtown by noon on Saturday, which was Christmas eve, and that would get us up there no later than 4:00 that afternoon....

It was nice to hear, though. I remember times when I took my parents for granted.

Save up! Put aside $50 or so every paycheque and you'll work your way up there.

My apartment window is open a crack, the air coming in is making it hard to type because that cold blanket is drifting across my desk over my hands. Suppose I should close it, especially now with all that wailing.

Somebody, I think it's a woman, is out there somewhere close to me and she's shrieking in those gut wrenching screams of sobbing and denial....

My little grief is nothing.

Funny how inconsequential our own little personal problems we originally think are so insurmountable become so minor when shit like this tsunami go down.

Loving thoughts to the hundreds of thousands of surviving mourners throughout the world.

This will be a great day for meditation, dear Pisces. You may be a bit dissatisfied with yourself because your various projects have yet to take form. You are impatient, but who wouldn't be? This waiting period has lasted for about two months now, but will soon come to an end. The planetary energy asks you to consider only what is essential for you. Don't allow yourself to start new projects based on anything superfluous.
