YAY! I didnt die today. YAY LIFE!!!

Whew.

Ok my last post requires some clarification because it sounded all fucked up.

And I guess: --that it was.

Ive certainly had some personal entries on this site, and the most personal of which ended their postings quite some time ago. I suppose they ended around the same time I actually started to meet people from this...

6 days, 8 hours, 23 minutes and 56 seconds smoke free.

159 cigarettes not smoked.

Eventually (and soon) a day will come when a day by day count down no longer really matters but for now its still seeming to be important and its still buggin me that its one day behind my own count.
Dammit, I stopped smoking on Thursday night last week. Sure...

5 days, 8 hours, 50 minutes and 43 seconds smoke free.

134 cigarettes not smoked.

Day 6 here. Weird. This reminds me of the time I quit after my 25th birthday. I remember I just woke up the next day outta smokes and broke, and thought neh. I dont wanna smoke anymore.

So I didnt. My memory of that period of time paints it that...

Wow.

Hows that for the proper usage of the English language to correctly isolate an emotional reaction to a situation?

Or even better WOW.

(that one was in CAPLOCKs for those that missed it)

Days like today are the epitome of why I would have such a hard time ever leaving this city.
Since Im not smoking now, I never actually went outside from my...

You and Morgan look so happy together.

If you want, when next we meet, I could give you the lowdown on my involvement with the Aquarian Tabernacle Church. Powerful stuff. Interesting stuff.

My god what a long day at work. I was getting so sidetracked in my though processes. I just kept seeing the image of Nemo from this morning in my minds eye while the client was asking me questions about things to do with RF interference and the 2.4 gig Nemo handsets on the 802.11 abcess. He asked me if they had to put the...

I am sorry to hear about your cat. It's never good when a family memeber gets sick like that.

I too was a pack and a half a day kind of guy (but for 15 years). I can honestly say that it isn't as bad as I thought it would be going cold turkey, but it definately is not easy.

And yes I can already notice a difference in my breathing!! It's fantastic!!

Stay strong.

collapsingstar:
nerr. frown

It's not easy.
It's worthwhile, but it's not easy.

Unless you're at one of the easy points.
But then it's hardly worth your while.

Comfort, strength and peace.

Smoke-Free: 3 days, 7 hours, 11 minutes and 13 seconds

Cigarettes NOT smoked: 82

And then comes the tester. I was so pleased to have woken up this morning, the morning of the 4th day cold turkey. I've certainly done this enough over the years to know that making it to day 4 completely cold turkey is a big deal.

Sure, I've tried to quit...

I made a little list of things for me to do today.
It included dealing with the piles of stuff I still have in various areas of my apartment. I cant believe how many months its really taken for me to dwindle all this Stuff down to these few piles. And I cant honestly even remember what I have thrown out so far, so I...

If you're interested in losing that chocolate craving, I'd recommend taking an L-Glutamine supplement (5-10g/day). I use it as a bodybuilding supplement to help recover tissue and to counter the effects the heavy workouts have on my immune system. It has an amazing side effect though of virtually eliminating all cravings for sugar. This doesn't seem to be well documented, but I've always noticed it myself, and have recommended it to a few friends who had problems with eating excessive amount of sugar and it worked well for them too. It's not expensive, I usually use Optimum Nutrition caps.

Just something to look into if the chocolate cravings start getting out of hand.

I have a milk and cookie hangover.

Its been 2 days, 11 hours, 43 minutes, 35 seconds, 4 pints of homogenized milk and 6 large chocolate chip cookies since any form of nicotine has been put into my body. Thats 59 hours, but Im not counting. I ate cookie after cooookie while watching the shining last night. Not scary. I wasn't scared. I sure as...

I dont think I am going to be having much to say for a while.

I want to say I have been out of coffee around here for a week now. I am only drinking green tea at home now. I miss my juggernaut carafe of Dark French Italian. I would drink 6 to 10 cups before even leaving the apartment in the morning, but...

man that This Mortal Coil cd.....

I smelled it: my old apartment. I mean I really actually inhaled it.

The first few bars of "Kanga-roo" and my very next closed eyed inhalation was of an old incense I used to burn. Haven't smelled that stuff in 21 years.

As the cd played on, It really had a strange effect on me.
Song to the Siren...

Hey, thanks so much for your comment, it means allot.

It's funny, I was hesitant about unloading such a lengthly journal entry but thought of your frequent voluminous, wordy missives, and thought "what the hell, I'll do it pica_pica style". smile

Such sophistication. I myself am listening to "High Enough" by the brilliant-yet-oft-overlooked Damn Yankees, and I can smell my junior high multipurpose room (the MPR, of course.)

I'm leaving early today. It's a nice morning out there by the looks of it, and I want to get Morgan a bit more of his usual cursory walk around the block.
Then I want to stop half way to work somewhere... somewhere with a patio and fresh coffee. (both of which I lack) and I want to sit in the warmth of the rising...
