Yes I knew Merv. He was my boss for a little over a year. I didn't work for him directly (I was chef in one of his Hotels), but it was him that hired me and to him I also gave my resignation to. It's a long story!!!!

I originally found Giant Microbes last year on a trip to Columbus, OH. They were in a little display in the COSI shop. The common cold was the first one to catch my eye, but the flesh-eating strep stuck in my mind. How could I not like a stuffed bacterium with crazy yellow eyes & a knife & fork embroidered on it? Besides, it threatened to eat my face. WWWWWHHHHHOOOOOOOAAAAAARRRRRR
About a week or so after we got back, I ordered my first batch (5? 6?) of microbes. I had a journal entry about it too. "SYH's Apartment Gets Quarantined" or something like that. The pictures are gone but the post remains.
