I went grocery shopping today. Just a few things, plus the important, highly important, vitally important, most important matter of beer. On Friday afternoons, the store I go to has a senior citizen discount. I do not get it, of course. For people on a fixed income, of course, every little bit helps.

On occasion, I see some elderly person looking at an item that...

I do indeed shop for myself! Thankfully Minnesota is one of the fittest states in the nation, and of course...the nicest but man, people speeding around on those carts out of laziness. Ugh. Honestly, just walk around, doing that kind of exercise for them would be good.

We did the same thing we did last year. Went to a friend's farm in southern Virginia. Luckily, we avoided the predicted thunder storms. Aisha managed to knock off early on Friday. It was a national holiday, but spies do get days off. We acquired fireworks and a bigger tent than we had last year, as well as some bacon, sausage, burgers and bratwurst. It...

World Cup winners! Again.

How is this for a history of consistency and dominance? In the seven Women's World Cups, the US has finished as World Cup winners, third place, World Cup winners, third place, third place, second place, World Cup winners.

I do not see much change. The US still has over 2 million girls and women playing soccer, excellent facilities, and a federation...

They won with a team that people didn't think would win, with a lot of inept tactics, and despite it all still took home the W in big time style in the final. As for the men...yeah, I don't expect to be around either. Our best chances have past us by (we had the best league in the world before the depression....) and obviously the Semis back in the day. Now it's too political and we get fucked against sides with hardly any credibility.

On July 4, 239 years ago, the United States decflared that we were independent, and no longer a part of the British Empire. We fought two wars to secure it. In between these wars, in 1789, the Constitution was ratified. It began with three simple words.

We, the People....

Pity they no longer matter.

President Obama, an amazingly dim man and a totalitarian, considers freedom...

Such as, in a democratic republic, for instance, the United States, is it somehow wrong to listen to the will of the people?

In a large, diverse nation, again, such as the United States, is one blanket law for everyone somehow superior to specialized laws, suited for the problems of states or localities?

In the last several years, Federalism has slowly been tossed on the...

Since words mean things, we should be clear. The first Confederate flag was the Stars and Bars, but that was to close to the Stars and Stripes of the United States. The next was the Stainless banner, with the familiar red St.George's cross with the 15 stars representing the states in the Confederacy. The third was the Blood Stained Banner, similar to the Stainless banner,...

What happened Charleston was not a tragedy.

It was an atrocity.

The tragedies have started, and will continue to. It will be blaming your opponents for the atrocity, and trying to score some political points. The President, idiot that he is, did exactly that. I do not know of any right wing politicians who replied that if any of the slain had a gun, it...

I told Aisha that if she wanted a threesome with Wendy and Claire I would not mind. I have done foursomes, and do not like them. Four is enough to daisy chain, while three is difficult. Then it is just two couples in the same bed. Not to say I am against them, as the daisy chain enough to do it. Though the sensation is...

Again, at the Capital Grille. Again, a plain but pretty Democrat. Again, a pants suit. The differences were that I knew this woman, and she wore a cadet blue pants suit. Women's suits are a good way to predict the political leaning of the person in them; liberals wear pants, conservatives wear skirts.

I was in my trademark charcoal.

I actually like this women, so...

Is the Capital Grille a chain? We had/have one in Detroit (read: suburbs) that is expensive as fuck. Had my cousin's husband's post funeral "party" there....depressing. On the skirt/pants issue ---- is this just in "meetings with political people", or a general observation?

Her name was Zarina. My first kiss, first love, first intimate experience. We thought we were so daring, kissing her nipples. For us, it was. Everyone else was having sex, but we were saving ourselves for marriage, for each other. To say she broke my heart is incorrect. She ripped me apart. Eventually, after her first marriage failed, she started to talk about how she...

They crossed over the border the hour before dawn

Moving in lines through the day

Most of our planes were destroyed on the ground where the lay

Waiting for orders, we held in the wood

Word from the front never came

By evening the sounds of the gunfire was hours away

I softly move through the shadows, slip away through the trees

Crossing their lines...
