Yeah, I'm still around -- albeit intermittently, alas.

My current living situation is such that I have limited access to the internet (dealing with a VERY primitive dial-up connection) and to transportation. Feeling pretty isolated and rather depressed, quite frankly. Really miss interacting with my SG friends on any kind of regular basis. Thinkin' maybe I need to go out and get stupid drunk in the VERY near future.

And how are things with you?

Oh yes, absolutely childish. The feelings that are coming with all of this are just so overwhelming. I see how it's affecting our kids, and I can't even describe how much that hurts. This is all so weird.

I plan to live out my golden years in Portland. I will be a little old crone who lives across the street from Union Jacks. I will wake up every morning and grab breakfast at Union Jacks on my way to downtown Portland where I will video gamble at the Matador before heading to the Commodore for a 6pm nightcap. On my way home I will stop into Dante's for some rock and roll and naked chicks and reminice about how I once was young and hot and naked on that very stage. Then I will pick up a sexy young thing that's into old ladies- a Harold to my Maude.

Damn it, I would have loved to have met you guys, he's adorable. We had parent/teacher conferences yesterday, and then it was my son's turn for a night out with Mom, and he turned out to have a raging ear infection. Bummer

The remake was directed by a guy named Adrian Lyne -- the same guy that directed such "classics" as Fatal Attraction, Flashdance, and 9 1/2 Weeks. He's a bit of a hack, really. Thought Jeremy Irons was quite good as Humbert, though.

i've made it as far as the town of sisters, but never been to bend. a few neighbors have places over there & say it's awesome.

the butte is spencer butte just outside of eugene off willamette st. it's a mile or so hike up to the top & the view is fantastic. you get the valley & some snow capped mountains, though i'm not sure which 1's they are. definitely worth a gander if you are down this way. it helps to remind me of the natural beauty that drew me here. i couldn't believe that i had the place to myself for 30-minutes the other day. that NEVER happens.

thanks for the break up kudos...this is definitely the hardest thing i have ever done, but it is the right thing for me right now. he hasn't taken much furniture yet & he let me keep the only 2 porns that i really like, so it's not so bad yet. you know what i am actually missing right now? the smell of men's shaving cream & men's deoderant in the morning. i'll have to buy some for myself so i can smell it when i need to. maybe while i'm watching my porn... ha!

what is spanoonoos? it's a state of being... my "1st husband" peaches (good gay male friend from college) & i made that up as a hybrid of my then last name & his. we were so close that people always thought we were dating & we actually had a few people believing we were married. it helps to remind me to go to my happy place.

peaches is actually who i will be staying with in jamaica. we usually have nothing but fun together, so this trip should be great. i leave a week from today. YEAH!
