Living in a 65 foot long vehicle really limits ones options. Trying to find a (legal) parking space at night that has access to a bathroom is often a challenge. Or even making a poor choice about what to have or lunch and getting those intestinal "funny feelings" can be a real emergency when you can't simply take any highway exit and pull into a Micky D's to use their bathroom.
Or working two 14 hour days in a row... finally getting to the truck stop where you're stopping for the night just to discover that they have no hot water and thus have shut down all of their showers. Things like that can be insanely frustrating.
The average American has easy access to bathrooms and showers. I don't. I envy that.

She was a doula for a while and went to nursing school and graduated (somewhat) recently with the intention of working in L&D and then perhaps going on to midwifery.
We had our son at home with a midwife.
We believe strongly in birth not being medicalized and all that...

Sleep would be lovely. I've got a cold (well, it's almost gone) but now my son has it and I'm sure the girls will each get it (one at a time of course) and then, the Mr. so it'll probably be awhile before I get good sleep again. Such is the life of a mama huh?
