umm yes I am mostly this happy as of late. I share so much of my kids here because if people ant to get to know me , 14 hours of my day is devoted to them so it is hard to avoid. My mouth has been ok lately, just waiting for benefits to come through to start fixing them ...I have been so busy though and I know that sept is gonna be CRAZY with derby overload (getting ready for my debut bout in oct) and back to school and the programming starts again for the centre that I find myself getting so anxious about too much activity that I can't sleep at night...and I worry about losing it completely but I am just trying to stay focused day to day , and breathe

I would find it VERY difficult to go about the process of making myself so self sufficient "in case" ..urghh , it is totoally logical and responsible but just effin yucky all at once.

Good luck with the changes. A few years ago I changed jobs and my old boss lashed out at me too. I remember it hurt as I really thought we were friends. But then I realized part of the reason I wanted the change is that she was not a very good boss.
There is a Buddhist saying "Is it so?" So when people talk shit I remind myself of this saying.

Have you ever had a weird experience quitting a job? Yes, see above. I quite and my old boss was very hostile and did a lot of things that were very shameful. But at the end of the day I am happy.

Do you take things personally? Always. I really do care about what people think of me. I want to be well liked and accepted. I am working on not letting my ego take control of me.

Do you struggle with change? Not really. In my current job they make major changes every six months. I have been with the company almost ten years and have had a dozen different bosses. I just go with the flow and do my best to adapt. But if I am not happy I make my own changes as well. Too much of my life I just grind and bared it... now I try and take my destiny into my own hands. I think we have more control over are lives then we perceive.

Would you move for a good job? It would have to be a really good job or if I had to do it to make ends meet

Do you live near family? Yes, my parents, brother and in laws all live within ten miles of me. My sister lives in San Diego about 100 south... so not too far

Is it hot where you are? It is comfortable. A little hotter then I like but I think most people would trade my coastal heat for tipple digits and high humility

Have you ever been in a natural disaster? I survived the Northridge earthquake of '94... as well as sharing a bathroom with some roommates that left what can be classified as natural disasters.

Have you ever seen someone die? Yes. Most recently with my wifes grandmother. She was surrounded by family and friends when they took her off oxygen. I was also a witness to a semi-truck hitting a cyclist, unfortunately the truck won.
