I just got a job as a tutor for a kindergarten-aged child... and it was not made clear to me what it is that I'm supposed to be teaching him.

His class is still doing "Letter of the Day." I've been hired to help him with reading and writing skills. I'm not quite sure how this is going to work.

But damn it, it's $12...

I'd like to say that I haven't updated recently because I lead such a busy and interesting life, but really, I've just alternating between sleeping and... I'm not actually sure what else I've been doing. Got myself locked in a basement, cooked a radass porkchop, housed my visiting best friend.

I found a job, or at least a temporary one, babysitting. I'm still shocked that...

My dear roomie- no more adventures into the basement of Loeb. Please. The speed at which you began to consider canibalism frightens me... even now.

My roommate and I put up a Winter Holiday Neon Clubland Tree. It's neon-green plastic and very sparse, so it's kind of like the Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree on acid. It is, however, the first festive holiday thing I've had on my own, so it's exciting for that.

It snowed today, and it's definitely the earliest in the year that I've seen snow in my...

Yeah, if New York shut down every time it snowed, our economy would tank.

I'm not sure how I feel about going home on Wednesday. Everything I'm looking forward to is very sentimental - crazy amounts of cooking, a fire in the fireplace, the idea of content togetherness. But reality is starting to kick in a little, and I'm worried. I'm going to have to split time between my two families and try not to hurt anyone, knowing that...

1. The Pilsbury Doughboy scared the crap out of me as a child. The belly poke thing was just creepy. I still don't like it.

2. I have a special attachment to my blue glass. If by "special attachment" I mean "manic posessiveness." It's a little weird.

3. I think that Chitin is insanely sexy.

4. I'm developing an addiction to...

Thanx babe. Sweet tattoo, where is it on you? good details.

And I love that pic of your new symmetrical nose, you look like a curious cat who happened upon a camera lens, hahaha.

Good luck with your schooling.

WOOOOOOOHHHAAAAAH!

I just got my right nostril pierced so I am finally symmetrical. (Well, nearly - the balls are two different sizes, but once it heals that's easily fixable.) A picture is forthcoming, but my camera cord died (I think I may have stepped on it a few too many times) so yeah... waitin' on that.

But, even better: I'm getting ink done on Wednesday....

I just spent three hours job hunting.

I have fond memories of my father yelling at me that if I dyed my hair or put any more holes in my face, no one would ever hire me. That really isn't the issue here - it's that most of what's availible is either retail or food service that requires previous experience. My previous work experience is...

ps. you're cute biggrin

Try data entry. It's easy work if you're even slightly computer literate and most places don't care if you don't shower and wear the same thing 4 days in a row. let alone holes in your face and odd hair colors.

Ladies and gentleman, children of all ages - a spectacle that will shock and astound, frighten and amaze. Those of faint heart and unused to the unexpected may want to leave the room.

My suitemates cleaned the kitchen.

Yes, it really is THAT rare an event.
