My nephew can beat up your nephew.

And probably out-poop him. They need to make self-cleaning babies. Changing diapers sucks.
aya:
He probably wouldn't be able to beat my niece though - she's a rough one.

You know, I used to think that girls with tattoos were hot, but now, body art is so commonplace, girls with ink have become a cliche. Ugh. Now I remember one of the reasons why I left this site.

what about scarification? or self-mutilation?

I have a theory aboot culture and extremism that I will share with you soon. In the meantime, are you going back to the big C for the birth of our lord and savior J.C.? (you HAVE accepted him as your lord and savior, right?) although perhaps the spell it "saviour" in Canada.

Anyway. If not, would you like to have sushi on Friday or maybe saturday? Also bars on xmas are fun.

So this new guy started at the studio today. Name of Steve Spielberg. Tall fellow. Wears glasses. Kind of nerdy. A bit chatty, but a friendly sort.

It should have been the families of the people Stanley 'Tookie' Williams is convicted of murdering, not the governor of California, who had to decide whether or not to grant him clemency. He should have been made to explain why he took their loved ones from them, and why he should be given the opportunity to live which he robbed from his victims.

Here is some weird-ass shit. In Filipino culture, the child of your first cousin is referred to as your niece or your nephew. Imagine my surprise, then, when I met my 30-year old 'niece' with her 3-month old son at my cousin's wedding. In Filipino terms, I'm the kid's grand-uncle. Loopy.

Hanging out with septuagenarians is not as boring as I thought it would be....

i asked my tita about the exact location of quezon city and she said it was more like what you might consider the suburbs rather than the heart of manila. although quezon city is really quite overcrowded to be a real "suburb"...but what do i know about it anyways? i moved from there when i was 4 yrs, not much an age of cognizant ability.

went to see Cinderella Man yesterday (finally). i enjoyed it except for the violence, so i sorta closed my eyes for most of the boxing bits. skullthe film overall was strangely inspirational for me, considering i'm not much of a boxing fan but then you really dont have to be to get carried away with the american sentimentality. and those kids were absolutely adorable, esp the little girl. skull

Writer Warren Ellis on being in Los Angeles:

It's like being confined to a wheelchair in a city of nothing but staircases.
