Ok, enough with the bad jokes. Tickets suck! I haven't had one in a while but for at one point, I had a shitload!

So, how are things with you (other than the ticket thing of course)? It finally looks like it's going to stay warm around here! We've got a thunderstorm right now, with lightning and thunder and winds, it's so cool. I like storms.

So far I'm still learning the ins and outs of the whole freelance thing. It's actually a huge portion of the feature story course I'm in right now. There are a lot of different places to sell stories, though, even locally. Even if they're not the best publications, you at least get clips from them. I'll try to find where I put the list of local publications that might accept freelance stuff. I know it's around here somewhere.

I'm also going to invest in the latest edition of The Writer's Market soon so I can start looking at magazines that accept creative writing and stuff. Right now I'm just going off last year's edition.

ive been around here for about 10 years. its funny you say that about dennys, i used to go there a lot when there was nothing else to do. i went to germanna com. college for a while and now im working for cox cable.

Yes..Lolita in Tehran is by far the most must get books.I just get enthralled by the whole story of her time here and in her native home.

Azar pulls no punches in her condemnation of political Islamat one point she astonishes her husband by comparing life in the Islamic Republic to "sex with someone you loathe." She speaks feely which I love.

In response to your comment, don't knock the Jerz. Hehe. I've been in your state a few times, driving through on the way to Florida and to see Colonial Williamsburg. A state with that many fireworks stands and good ole boys tends to frighten me away. But the landscape is quite pleasant from what I've seen.

Sigh. I can't believe it's almost time for my preregistration for next sememster. I still have yet to FIND my real advisor. He was on a sabbatical last semester, so I just got someone else to sign off for me.
