Didn't I just get through the holidays and now there's Valentines day next week. Bleh! leave me alone commercials, I already know I'm single, don't have to make me want to wash my loneliness in chocolate.
Actually maybe I do....hmmm

squareroot:
Next week already??? Arrgh! Mmmm chocolate!
trocar:
Valentines' day is for jive suckas, I'm warming-up for nerd-pride day.

I really dislike January
Spring is not in sight, work is slow, and I get emo to boot
trocar:
This weather makes me sing "Smiths" songs, just yesterday I caught myself humming "Shoplifters of the World Unite". Not a good sign.

I'm learning calligraphy
it's kinda of a boring long process
but I am doing it anyway
I'm will do the letters so many times, I'm engraving this pattern in my brain wether it likes it or not DAMMIT
cirdt:
Calligraphy? You are a braver soul than I.

rin:
i heartily echo cirdt. it is so rad that you are taking up calligraphy!

Okay It's been a week since I have been back to work and back to the city and I'm already ready to go back on vacation. Actually I would probably just take some milder weather at this moment. Or maybe have more than one day off a week. WHO knows.
I bought the Serena Ryder cd yesterday. I like her voice. Not so sure what...

I love your sky train.

Sky Train: There is no driver... it's actually useful for getting around Vancouver... when it goes all the way out to the airport it will be the wickedest piece of mass transit infrastructure in Western Canada... what else...???

If you are still in Vancouver, you have to go eat at Salt Lick (on Alberni) or Gyoza King (on Robson) or...or... too many cool restaurants in Vancouver!

I <3 Vancouver (lots!)
stay surreal
cirdt:
Skytrain? SOOO GOOD. Who knew that public transit could be scenic? Clearly, not anyone from Edmonton.

So Excited!
Earlier 2007 I wrote my motto was going to be "bring it on Bitch"
and this year I declare 2008 "Breathe, Sylvie, You can do this."
what's your motto?

Dovie'andi se tovya sagain, or "It's time to toss the dice." It seems fitting as luck play a major role in my life.
presleyan:
thanks Nuit! I was in Europe on that special day so only got your comment now. hope you're doing well, happy new year!

Christmas came and went. Same as it does every year. This year was nothing exciting. I stayed in Edmonton, while my family was in Fort McMurray. BUT I am going to Vancouver for New Years and that's what is so ROCK and ROLL about this year. It was worth chilling for two days after working a bunch. I did have a traditional christmas dinner though....

Given you're a woman of refinement and sophistication, how do you like your gren tea, in bags or with the leaves just floating around? I like the leaves "nude" as it were, I find the flavor is better.
zenfish:
I'm not sure I'd enjoy Walk Hard... that actor kinda bugs me. /shrugs/

I got the box my mom delivered me for Christmas! YAY Christmas baking! Huzzah! She sent me some peanut butter fudge and Funeral Squares(okay, so they are just those marshmellow squares with chocolate but I swear every funeral I went to had them, so we just started calling them Funeral Squares) biggrin
I can also say that I did a MUCH better job wrapping gifts than...

As I look back on 2007, it hasn't been all to bad. I went to a lot of concerts a few plays. Met some fantastic new friends. Nothing much in the relationship department this entire year. Their were a few encounters with guys, dates, drunken hookups, or cool people I met. Some of them forgettable none of them entirely too regrettable. Had an affair. Not...

Wow, you're girl everywhere. Is there anything you didn't do this year?

What are your favorite xmas chocolates? I'm quite partial to After Eights...like eight boxes in one night partial. eeek
trocar:
I'm suprised that you're a dark chocolate fan, I would have guessed truffels myself.

I really do love ice cream. I think it's one of those things that truly makes the world a better place. smile
OKay so nothing much has been going on as of late. Just work, then back to work and then you guessed it...WORK. bleh. I have almost all my christmas shopping done and now I just have to ship it out. Um, reading Another Bullshit...

so forget about that entry
drunk entries are a waste of time anyway
and everything is different when you are sober.

My friend Louie took his couch out drinking one night (dragged it to every bar he went to), and the two just haven't been the same since.

I'm drunk
and I'm liking a boy who's engaged. And that's the dumbest thing i could do ever. it's not conducive to anything positive, and I'm very disappointed with myself. Booze makes me feel guilty. Mixing anti-depressants with booze equals bad.
