I know first hand how horrible cancer medicine makes you feel. It's hard to truly comprehend that the medicine can sometimes make you feel worse than the disease. I'm very sorry your friend has to feel any of it. And I'm sorry you and his family have to watch him. Maybe he'll make a full recovery. It's been known to happen, right?

i completely agree about the Ramen Noodle thing. after my divorce i was very poor. and i hated it of course, but it taught me something. well, not only how to live on a shoestring, but that money is not that important..........i was much happier with my situation than i was when i was married once i realized how to cut corners.
i would much rather be poor and love my job, than the other way around.
and i have always felt the same way about a relationship, in regards to what kind of job/ money the guy has.
if he is a starving artist, and i am rather poor, but we are deeply in love.................i will take that over some rich business man where we have no passion, no aliveness, but we can go out and do things cuz we have money.
