I've played with that camera. It is decent. DEFINITELY better than the samsung.
The higher end sony's have all the features most people need and then some. I doubt you'll regret buying it. Other than it not being a canon, the only thing I don't like about sony's is that they don't use CompactFlash memory cards, which are larger and cheaper.

Deathguild was all sorts of crazy crowded on Monday. Can't say I liked it, but can't say I didn't like it either. I'd say take out about 1/3rd of the crowd and it would have been perfect. What was nice about it being crowded though, is that it was very easy not to run into people that I don't want to see.
