Thanks for all the terrific comments on the set, you guys! I figured I'd throw you off a bit what with all the sunlight and colors, but then again it gets a little old when everything looks the same every time. And while, yes, I AM a lot happier than I have been lately, fear not. That never cuts into my fashionable doom and gloom. wink

Starbucks and Mermaid Problem:

Wikipedia defines the Mermaid problem as: "an observation occasionally mentioned in literature, concerning the difficulty of having sexual intercourse with a mermaid". Yep, that's tough. It is just impossible to get into ariel's pants. However, as it turns out, back in the old days mermaid anatomy was a bit more sensible- many early mermaids are pictured with two tails, leaving space...

The first thing that happens is, a guy shows up on my doorstep who might as well be the illegitimate son of Ed Wood and John Waters. Then he describes what he does as "Twilight Zone Pinup". So, of course, I'm pretty much sold. Then he picks me up in an old-school Jaguar with an overflowing cigarette tray and otherwise spotless interior.

Welcome to Foto...

"here is an old Sanskrit word, lila [leela], which means play. Richer than our word, it means divine play, the play of creation, destruction, and recreation, the folding and un-folding of the cosmos.".

Everybody goes on and on about karma, but until yesterday noone ever mentioned to me that even karma has a balancing force, lila, which noone goes on about much at all. Randomness....

Thank you, SG Hive brain! Lots of good suggestions, a couple of which might actually work perfectly for the project I have in mind. (insert impish grin here).

Now I must tell you a tale. I'm house hunting here in Los Angeles, and I found this adorable house on craigslist that I thought would suit me and roomie-to-be d23 just right. (Really, that doesn't happen...
