Having been harassed and arrested by agents of the United States' government as he perpetrated his graffiti art from coast to coast, Shepard Fairy has since earned the respect and gratitude of a future American president. Using the visual vocabulary of popular revolution, the humble DIY poster and sticker maker-cum-revered gallery and populist street artist used his graphic skill to transform Barack Obama from a...

i appreciate what his earlier work, but at this point i dont see a large difference between him and an ad agency (not saying running an ad agency is a bad thing). plus the photographer that took the photo he traced in illustrator to make that iconic image should have gotten a lot more credit.

Kristen Schaal has much to hide: She's somewhat pathological when it comes to winning things, has a wet T-shirt attired skeleton rattling around in her closet, and has a proclivity for the sexy bits in Harlequin romance novels. But as The Daily Show's Senior Women's Issues Commentator, she was loud and proud in her support of Hillary Clinton for president. Sadly, that didn't work...

I read this.. (mind you I know absolutely nothing about this woman up until now... It's that Canadian disconnect I guess....) And I didn't see anything other than a scenester looking for some net time outside of working on an American top rated cable show as a writer/ contributer/ comedianne. For a show that for the most part ( in our experience ) navel gazes American politics/ celebrity for cheap laugh lines...

"I was a Hillary Supporter " But maybe Barak is the here and now... what a pussy....

She's no Jeanne Garofalo.... She's the shit. Get heavy, go deep and be hot... Get in there... make a point, and I'll support you.

i only date feminists and i'm straight so...
really, once people of both genders stop freaking out about the label and getting down to what feminism is really about (that whole men and women both being human thing), it's pretty easy to get on the feminist train. the bad press made it hard for even me to self-identify as a feminist until probably college, but it's something i really needed to face head on to make it in the world. like, i like kathleen hanna as much as the next girl and all, but i don't bite/hate dudes/want to force everyone to worship a giant plastic ovary.

anyway, kristen rocks and i hope to see a lot more of her. funny women kick ass!

While it seems counter-intuitive to call a band without guitar or bass a "rock band," I failed even to notice, until at least five songs into their set, that Von Iva perform sans stringed instruments I was having too much fun with their sonic mnage trois of dance, disco and soul to care. Oh yeah, and they're all hot girls.

Lead singer and nameplate Jillian...

For many Alan Rickman is the ultimate villain. He played Hans Gruber, an evil German terrorist, in Die Hard, was Kevin Costner's nemesis, the Sheriff of Nottingham, in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, and portrayed the archetypical unjust Judge Turpin in Tim Burton's 2007 vision of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Meanwhile, the Harry Potter generation simply know him...

Its going to be very interesting seeing a differnet take on the maniac that is the Punisher. I've never seen him as a deeply profound or distinctive character but always enjoyed his cameos in the comics. I'll definetly be checking this out in theartres today out of curiousity. Thank goodness marvel has there own production studio now at least the movies stand a chance of being like the comic its based on.

When Rob Zombie got to work on compiling the White Zombie box set, Let Sleeping Corpses Lie, his first thought was "I don't really remember all of this." The second thought was, "What were we thinking?!" Anyone familiar with the musical horror show that is White Zombie knows that the band's 1998 demise wasn't exactly an amicable one. So, putting the 5 CD/1 DVD...
