Infection

Day 1

I seem to have developed a pain in my upper jaw. Well due to serious restraints on my financial situation, plus my non-existent insurance, I cannot seek appropriate medical help. The pain is nothing ibuprofen, acetaminophen, or aspirin cannot take care of. It must have developed around my porcelian crown.

Day 2

The pain has moved into the right side of my...

The Lonely Life

I'm going to lay it all out; fashionably of course. This is "the sappy self-sickening failed romance" journal entry. Be forewarned that this could get pathetic and I suggest you advert your eyes.

So I'm back from a casual night out with a friend who I used to date quite often. Nothing ever became of this, no sex, etc.. Well tonight was...

I think there are quite a few people not cut out for more traditional relationships...and without the strong religious and economic imperatives driving people to marriage anymore, more people will choose to adopt varying degrees of alternative relationship structures, or no relationship at all.

I'm a Lazy Fuckwad

I've been in the same room for two days straight. I have everything taken care of in my little corner.

People over the internet want me to visit them in Memphis, Nashville, the next county, across town. News flash: "I'm Lazy".

I hate driving most of all, cause when my father died he left the huge, roomie truck to my sister....

I think the tiki mask and remote island sound like more fun.

hee hee, silly Americans, don't know what hostels are. There's like, a few variations, but they're generally, like a hotel, but only for international travellers and/or students, and they have dorm rooms and are really cheap and have like shared bathrooms and kitchens and stuff.
It's a concept that started in Australia or New zealand or something, but they're all over the world now. God damn, I'm educational.

The sister always gets the better deals even if they don't deserve them, at least that's what I've observed from other familys.
I liked your response, that was more of what I was looking for to my little rant.
The news flash made me laugh.

Update: I have finished Kurt Vonnegut's "Slaughterhouse Five". The man's a great writer. I could understand from his point of view the point of war and being a prisoner of war. The point he made about "wars have always happened and always will", I couldn't agree with. Some how he suggests that we are supposed to just "get over it" and live our lives? He...

Read through the first 4 chapters of Kurt Vonnegut's "Slaughterhouse Five", great so far.

I'm finished with my final exams at school and am now attempting to find a temporary job doing whatever it is I have to do over the holidays to make money. This way I can miss all this festival/celebration/be happy bullshit that happens annually. I would rather be working a back-breaking-blister-and-callous-forming...

So I finished 'Fight Club' in a little over a week. I knew I should have read the book before watching the movie 400 times.

I think I'll move on to 'Choke' or 'Survivor' next.

People are dying all around me.....but I don't care. Some how, these people knew they would have to die. There's always a disadvantage to life...knowing or ignoring the fact that...

I take a look at all of my friends at SG and I'm brought back to the days of my youth.

The days when I collected "Garbage Pail Kids" card. Each had it's own unique pairing words with names. Though all of you don't have neat names like 'Luke Puke', 'Bret the Vet', 'Heather Hemmorhage', or 'Rob the Robot'.

I feel like I'm collecting cards...

Working on another novel idea. This is the sixth one I've started on. Hopefully I can complete this one all the way through.

Things are off to great start. Ideas are a bit bland. Having a hard time spilling the words on to paper. My head's all out of ideas. Anyone want to trade?

I can't give you any details on these stories. Not that...

stephen king's 'on writing' is really a fucking excellent book. it renewed him, somewhat. i must be lost.
chris_sick:
i've heard great things about king's "on writing" but i always come back to the same question.

if he knows so much why are all his novel's so terrible?

there are exceptions, true, but stephen king is not who i think of when i think of good writers, and if his advice is to get a manual typewriter then he's finally got around to ripping off bukowski.

i perfer pedro juan guiteritterz's advice- stop asking other people for advice, stop talking to other writers, read everything you can and figure it all out. if it takes you a lifetime you'll be a better writer for it.

How come at every 'hardcore' show I go to it feels as if I'm at a rave?

Not to say that I do not slam and get hurt while dancing, but it feels as if I've jumped into some violent Soul Train. What the fuck is up with these people? Did the football game just let out and all the jocks decided to go to...

Humans gave up freedom for conquest.

From the days of recorded antiquity, we can read such stories of great conquerors like: Kublia Khan, Alexander the Great, Eric the Red, Julius Ceasar, Nicholas I, Darius I, et cetera. I pose the question: "why conquer at all?" Is it something we are lacking. Sure it is. We exchange our earthbound freedoms for the settlement and adoption of...
