Friday I talked to my boss about the fact that my car is off the road and I can't afford to repair it and he offered me a loan, which was nice of him. He asked me to pay it back at 100 a month and I had to say that there was no way I could afford that at the moment, at which he decided on the spot to give me it as a bonus for my hard work! Result!
Went out for a few drinks with work and the boss put on a tab for us and because I wasn't diving I was able to join in. By the time I got back to my friend's house, I was already half cut. We had a couple more drinks there and then went to the pub. I think I was a bit boistrous, but no one said anything today so I presume no more than normal. I did somehow end up paying 1.80 for a bottle of Schloer, just so the waitress could fill it up with chilli oil. I even remember thinking as I was talking to her, "How the hell did I start this conversation?" I decided I was drunk enough by about 11 and headed home.
Last night was birthday drinkies and mostly everyone I invited turned up, (one was a shock and the ones that didn't were mostly expected not to, like people from work and my bailer of a housemate,) which was cool. D had to leave early and then V and her guy left because he was not well. Shortly after that E left so it was just me, S, her ex (S1) who she's just got back with and D1, who is E's housemate and it's his birthday too, so he had a fair few friends there too. I didn't like the bar though. Not one I've been in before and I wouldn't hurry back. It was small, lacked seating and they make me take my trilby off inside! Bastards. I staggered home after one and grabbed a pizza on the way home. Bad idea, as always.
Today I had a wander into town and bought myself a birthday present:
And even better than that, it was 4 cheaper than when I'd seen it in Manchester, so I had enough to buy a 'Too much coffee man' comic too!
In addition to that, I saw this:
T-shirt and as soon as I saw the backprint, it was purchased.
I got Blazing Saddles and The Thing on dvd from my housemates, and I got a present from E and S earlier, but I'm opening those tomorrow.
Yay!
