well the problem was her ear was swollen shut basically...the doctors couldn't even look in her ear or drain it and were hoping the antibiotics would make the swelling go down
so we couldn't do that Q tip thing even if we had wanted to
now her ear has gone down a bit...but the specialist we had to end up taking her to gave her different, stronger antibiotics so that he could further drain her ear next week
but thanks for the remedy ..I'll remember it for future ear infections (though I really actually hope there aren't any)
