I've got Belle and Sebastian's 'Me and the Major' stuck in my head. I can't get it out. Aaaargh!!!! I guess it could be worse, as far as things that get stuck in my head go. But it's been there for two days.

Actually I agree with you that lust is *very* real. That quote got me thinking. Interesting to see the responses.

My mom won't stay on the East coast. I need to build a fence or something. But she'll probably tunnel under it.

I stole some of the pics from the PDX Pool Party to put in my candids for those of you who aren't from here...I refuse to explain the giant underwear, go ask BigDirtyS about it.

The spiders have moved into the computer room now. One came out of my keyboard earlier- is that creepy, or what?

You look great in those photo's. That is your after work look? Sheesh.. my after work look is much to haggard to be so lively at a pool party.

Hmmm, let's see here. You'de think SOMETHING of interest would've happened to me in the last 24 hours....nope...not that I can think of.

Oh, wait, I got it!...no...nevermind...that wasn't interesting either...

Wow! I finally made it to an SG gathering! Go me! Met lots of folks, plus got to see several of the girls I haven't seen since the last sleepover. Such fun! (In spite of Ami's broken promise of vegan goodies...) And it looks like SGSF is planning to take over Lanesplitters for me while I'm there. I feel so loved.

So apparrently I will be able to make it to the last part of the BBQ on Suinday, although I don't get off work until 4. But I'll make an appearance, at least. Hell, if it stays this hot I might even get in the water. Unless there are children in it. I am deathly afraid of children.

Let's see...for anyone who missed yesterday, desk pics are up. New in my pics today: pics of my other dog (morbidly obese pomeranian Shenzi) and my roomie's greyhound, Nadia.

Went out to Devil's point last night and got wasted. Met Lux, who is going to start doing shows there on Tuesdays with Siren. Everyone should go. I love that place. It's cozy. And...

I keep hearing random different people speak of Devil's Point. Hmmmm... going to have to make a pilgrimage out that way some time and see what all the hub bub is.
big_dave:
"Devil's Point".

Again with the horror-film-type places you visit. To a UK type person, your journal sounds like one long slasher flick, though how that elaborate desk would fit into a plot involving teens, knives and vomit is something I'll have to get back to you on biggrin

Desk project is, more or less, complete. Photos are posted. It needs a few lines cleaned up tommorrow, but not much. I'm so tired of painting, I can't even start to think about the rest of the room just now. So I think I'll go to the rope bondage show at Devil's point and have a drink.

PS- Like my hideous teal shed?

Nice transformation on the desk. I've been wanting to do some furniture work, but I have to wait until my summer class gets out next week *sigh*.
amitabha:
damn! that desk is fucking sweet!

although i'm having a conflict of interest.. i think i like the cheerleader pics more than the desk.

I dont really have a busy day.. i just made all that stuff up to amuse myself anyways, it's all part of my "trying not to be shallow" facade.

The desk project is coming along well. I have to work tommorrow, but I expect to put up pictures of it Tuesday or Wednesday. Obviously, I'm really happy with how it's turning out. Then, for the rest of the room.

In other news, I am almost as addicted to Where's George? as I am to this website...

Sitting on floor to type as desk in in backyard. Entire room disintegrated into terrible mess. I did take some 'before' pics so I can prove to you all that I deserve my own show on Discovery. Or at least prove how insane I am for attempting this.

My desk is stuck in constant cycle of order and chaos. I would love to watch a designing show with you as a host, even if you were insane.

Hot lazy day off. I'm trying to be useful. I'm trying to refinish my desk (first part of major computer room overhaul). I got all the drawers stripped, but now I have to haul the desk up the stairs, and it's fucking hot out there...
I have an idea that this project is ridiculously big. Turning finished boring basement into magical Morroccan cave. I'm sure...

i have a friend who worked as a mechanic at a vw dealership for a few months, and swore he would never own one after all the work he had to do on them. the garage he worked at before worked on all cars, and he swears vw's are the worst. i know they're cute, but i trust my buddy completely when it comes to cars. food for thought.l

OK, folks, not too much to report this early in the morning except that it's fucking hot out and I finally got my Rockfest pics up. Thanks and love to the Dirty Lowdowns for the pics (and the great time). These guys are playing a free show Friday at the Twilight Cafe, and everyone should go (even though there will be no cheerleaders).

PS if...

AAARGH!!!
Car trouble. I hate my car. Several boys are now taking it apart in the yard and cussing. Yesterday I went to take the dogs to the park and it screamed and screamed like a pig and shut off. Have poked at the alternator, oiled the belts, wiggled the ignition module but not removed it due to scary japanese wrtiting, and now they're fussing...

Car problems what a hassle. I am so happy mine has been duly reliable for many years. But mmmm... new Audi. Yumm... but alas I don't need to spend that cash. Better things to do then drive a new car.

having no ac sucks. it's so warm out too. you should strap on a block-o-ice.
