I did some sparring in a Thai boxing class. That was pretty fun, but it got moved to gym that's farther away... I like BJJ because it's live training too - all wrestling/chokes/joint locks, though - no striking in class. Lots of our guys fight professionally or at least for ROF (www.rofmma.com), so I get to train with those guys all the time. Do you still get to spar at all?
Well, I ran cross country and track in high school back in... 1994-97. I actually wasn't that fast until I joined the Marine Corps. I trained for about a year to drop from a 24 3 mile down to a 18.30. Then I coasted for a while, but finally decided to see if I could drop more time. That's when I got down to 17.04 for my 3 mile. Couldn't break 17... *sigh* (probably because I started lifting and got up over 215!) I actually have classes with several of the University of Colorado runners; those guys/girls are amazing!
As for physics, I'm not going to do anything with it.
I'm of the opinion that it's good to have a degree (preferably a technical one) and then you can do whatever you want... I have several job offers based on other stuff or I may go to grad school for a MBA. I'll probably want to work for a while... I know I need the cash!

I love your profile picture.

Actually, I was going to ask you if you wanted to start a thread just for you kind of journaling your triathlete stuff, nutrition and workouts or whatever you wanted. I and a few others would benefit from it for sure if you have the time or desire.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
I am on detox as well, which blows ass. For the football playoffs some foods are just not going to be avoided.
I had one up of my abs for months and months but it led to a few stalkers....good luck with that! You shoudl include it in your triathlete thread. maybe it might motivate people?
