My favorite race of the year, the Fall Colors 5K at the Arboretum, couldn't have been better! I was really happy with my time (24:32, coming in 167th out nearly 1, 600 runners). The morning was perfect for running. Sunny, nice and chilly, with some beautiful fog. A great Sunday!

when people say that guns are the killers. Ummm, no it takes a person to operate that gun. It does not choose to shot something or someone on its own. It has no mind. A person does. They have to pull the trigger. The gun has no control over that! Guns can be useful too. They are not always dangerous. Some use them for hunting, which provides food to those in rural areas as well as helps control certain animal species. Although, I do agree that they should do a background check on those individuals who are wishing to purchase a gun. I think it is ridiculous that they are trying to stop anyone who is diagnosed with a mental aliment from owning or purchasing a gun. Not all people who have a psychiatric condition are psychotic killers waiting to explode without warning. I have anxiety and although sometimes I would like to kill people, murder is wrong, and my anxiety in no way makes me more likely to shoot someone. In fact, I would be less likely because I would be too worried about how to do it, when to do it, and what would happen to me after I did it. We discussed this a lot when I was in undergraduate school. I know have a Bachelor's in Psychology and my views on the issue haven't changed.
