She went in to the energency room last night and they ran a shitbucket of tests during the night and this morning, and now they are going to take it on out sometime during the day today.

It appears everything is favorable for my father, and his doctors are saying with the treatment he is going to have and the status of everything in his prostate (it being well encapsulated, non-spreading, and extremely palpable) he should have a full recovery and maintain at least a 30-35 year life span.

Just when you think everything will be ok...
My Dad has been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer.
His PSA is 3.2 - which is incredibly low. The doctor says he found only a single primary tumor - and it hasnt spread anywhere, so we will find out tomorrow what exactly is going to go on.
Just thought maybe writing it down here would help me out.

a few months ago my dad went to the hospital complaining of chest pains.... i was in detroit at the time and i was freaking out when my mom called telling me my dad was having a heart attack - he got lucky, and it turned out to be ok - but i understand your feeling of desperation and helplessness.
I sincerely hope you and your father are able to pull through this.
