As today approaches the end, I am both happy and sad. I have both national and personal tragedies that I remember at this time of year. As many remember, 9/11 was a national tragedy. It hit me hard because I feared a close friend gone, since I hadn't heard from them for a month after the towers fell. That made today personal for me.
