I am so behind on wedding stuff it's ridiculous. I'm pretty sure I'm going to start freaking out any day now. I almost feel like I need to quit my job to get it all done. It's sad really. I've already gone a lil wonky on Liadan and Morie. Sorry girls.
Anyone want to have a help me make crap party?

39 members and only 6 wanted the change...that's about 15%, which means 85% of the group either kept quiet or voted against changing it, I'd say that's a minority. Also, of the people who did voice their opinion (13), only 6 voted for the change, again a minority. And before you can beat me to it, yes, I realize the votes for keeping it were an even less minority. However, if you're going to allow a vote, you should really have a majority of people saying yes in order to do it. The best way is just to not allow a vote. If it comes up in the future, start a thread that says, "Hey, what do you think?" and then take that into consideration, but make the decision on your own. Nothing good comes of allowing people to bicker and argue indefinitely.
You know, I wouldn't be arguing so much if you had just shown some tact and respect and waited awhile. It's mostly the fact that you were in the process of changing the name before you had even officially been accepted as the new owner.....that's what really bothers me. It's rude. Don't get me wrong, I hate the proposed name and I am hoping it will get shot down.
I just sent in the help request to transfer ownership. So, you should be the owner soon unless they decide to just delete the group since no active members actually live in Kalamazoo anymore.
no, just child support (thank god), I went and complained today - they fucked up and mailed the income withholding paperwork to some random store in TEXAS, instead of the corporate office - goes to further lengths on how big of idiots F.O.C. is!
Yesterday was a good day off. I went with Evan to Grand Haven. He worked for a bit while I read. After that, we met up with Les and Mikael, Michiganders who moved to Portland, Oregon. They've been in town doing family things. It was so nice to see them, catch up, and learn they are doing well. We ate at this lovely place... Read More
Les and Mikael still going to be in town on Tuesday? Any chance of them joining us for bowling? I've never met her and it's been a long time since I have seen him.
Oh, there will be plenty of time for fun. Mainly I'm shooting segments for AOTS, though, I'm guessing most won't air. I do make a point to take a day off to hang poolside at the Marriott next to the con. The pool there is like the lagoon from Gilligan's Island and their margaritas are amazing!
are you excited?
