Yeah I would like to see some kind of merger of the "fringe" parties. Then maybe they could come up with some real political clout and might actually be worth backing. Instead of backing them only making the republicans stronger by taking votes away from the dems.

My parents are registered Republicans. I'm a registered Democrat. Lately, I don't look who's a Republican or Democrat. I try to understand what is it that they're trying to represent. Sometimes, yeah, it gets to a point where you try to choose the lesser of two evils. For awhile, I didn't vote at all. For the past few years, the voting place ended up at the house across from my apartment building. So, I had no excuse that I don't have time to vote. But, yeah, it seems the 2 major parties seemed to be both filled with idiots.

i had to add somthings here, with all the tecnology we already have there are some weapons that does not kill the dude, you know...put him to sleep even if very painfull, cops are suposed to be the good boys (at least it was like that once) now, he ran because he was afraid, he jumped like ive seen plenty of highschool kids doing that running from the cops, should they shoot too?
we would never know why that guy did run...
hes dead and i hope it helps at least a little the world to learn more about tolerance.
but the whole deal is very very sad.

I have mixed feelings on the whole thing as I have a friend who did time for child molestation. Now he's gay first off, but one of the kids was a girl... The problem was that during the trial they were changing things to where he could not have a drfense. We had dates and witnesses to attest to where he was on some of the dates it was supposedly happening, but they wouldn't allow the testimony. So I know how the courts work in cases like this. The DA wanted a win and when he saw the case and my friend's appearance... he went for it. So I had a 6 year period where my friend was gone.
I've been really busy. This is going to be a short sucky update, but I wanted to welcome my new friends list people and thank everyone for their fabulous comments on my new set.

oh, just to recap, i approached you MANY months ago regarding "bullshit!" i went anon for a while but would check up on your journal to read about your life and times - your dad passing away, the cancer scare, etc.
and i'm catching up again today. i enjoyed your essays on nice guys and your requirements. one note on the requirements for your mate: just like people fall off pedestals you place them on, people fall short of yardsticks you make for them. tolerance and compromise can help us all grow as human being, or at least a little forgiveness for your partner's fuck-ups every now and then, when it's warranted.
