Hey, sometimes shit just builds up, and it has to come out one way or another, and whether you want it to or not. Just chalk it up as a little biological self help and try not to get too hung up on it.

I had been on meds (Paxil) when I was working at my aunt's office for probably a year and a half, and I felt it locked me into certain moods, and I would still occasionally get angry, stressed, and even depressed too. The lows aren't too low, but the highs aren't too high either when you're on meds. There are times where I felt it wasn't effective, even after doubling my dosage. I'm off of it now, have been since July, and I feel like I can be happier, but then again, I haven't had too many stressful situations to deal with on a daily basis since I've left my aunt's office.

I can understand being conscious or aware, but it seems pretty extremist to consider any image with a woman in it exploitation. Those people really need to take a chill pill. There are plenty of blatent examples of negative portrayals of women they could be jumping on. How about that all ads for cleaning products are squarely aimed at women. I would think I'd be pretty low on the totem pole of patriarchal oppressors.

Yeah, it's true that there's really no end to the societal perpetuation of gender roles. People just get so absorbed in the general nature of things that they lose sight of the real issues.

do you really need a couch? if/when you move out, that is going to be a bitch to take care of.

that sucks about your interview. is that going to negatively impact your assignment, because that is not really your fault.

Sorry to hear that you are going through this Metta. I've actually been on both sides of this situation in my own life. Just don't forget to breathe and keep on doing your thing....it will shake out either way. What is meant to happen will happen even if you don't agree with it or understand it right now.

good luck, the only thing I have to offer is if you love the man for who he is and he is willing to change the things that don't make the relationship work then stick it out. If he is so unwilling to change or compromise that it always leads to conflict then you may want to cut your loses before it becomes worse.

It sounds to me like it's time for the "talk". Take some time and think about exactly what you want to say to him and then when you feel comfortable with it have a discussion with him about the things that are bothering you and how you feel about him.

Both of you need to be on the same page of the relationship so to speak and I think thats the best place to start.

If that goes well, he will know that you love him, but have a few issues with the relationship and that you want to make it work. Hopefully it will make you both feel better.

Aah pretty lady, those are always troublesome situations.... All you can do it act indepentent of him and take care of yourself. Seems like when a person sees you don't need them as much as they thought, they tend to let their true motivations show. For all he knows, this just frees you up to do something fabulous for yourself, something he just isn't, nor shouldn't be, a part of. Take care, and good luck.

You should apply to Rogers. They publish a boat load of magazines. I am working on contract there right now, and it's a huge place I am pretty sure, they take interns to work on their mags all the time

Shazzy who is the SG Montreal Photographer goes back and forth to Toronto to do sets all the time message her. She's pretty talented. She did my set after I was accepted and it turned out beautiful.

Look at sets from Ges, Tao, Eli,Mo,Dasha,Kali ect - all of whom have been shot by Miss Shazzy.
