So it's been what? 19 days? Not a whole lot has happened in that time, but I've been busy enough to only be on for an hour or so a day. Now, that busy is mostly work and sleep, but hey now...I've been getting out. Kinda. My buddy and I went to a local park that has about 25 miles of single track bike trails....

Spent the weekend mountain biking. The first trail was rocky as fuck, the entire way, with some good roots thrown into the mix. It was a bitch for me since I ride a downhill bike, so I got my ass kicked on the way up. But I'll be damned if I was the only one who didn't crash on the way down, and I was...

Note to people:
You do not invite yourself over to MY apartment. And you sure as shit don't come over after you purposely took an ass ton of pills with the intent drinking half a handle of vodka and dying on my couch. Or at least trying too...because you're not going to fucking die when I'm around after you pull a stupid fucking move like...

No they really do not. My Aunt had a very close friend who killed herself after her husband died of a brain aneurysm. It was sudden, and shocking when he went. She had given the air that she was fine, but in the end she was not. She got everything in order, cleaned everything up, and killed herself, leaving my Aunt in charge of their estate. It was all a surprise to my Aunt, who was very upset, very hurt, and very angry. I'm fairly confident that nothing my Aunt or anyone else could have said would have mattered. But the people left behind were definitely broken up, not once, but twice. It made a huge impact on me, that whole incident, and made me appreciate those people who are actually around who actually do have to clean up the mess, not to mention the what ifs.
I dunno. I understand the reasons to jump this ship, but honestly responsibility is what it comes down to, and compassion for those who would have to deal with it. Not to mention the fact that people do not realize that they impact other people that they may never even know about that care for them, or are grateful that they smile at them daily. It just is not that cut and dry.

Some pics from the last paintball game I went too. For the first five photos, I had come upon a stalemate between both sides. We (red) had the blue guys pinned at their respawn point. Since there was really no way for them to get around (we had a line across the field and through the woods), they would just charge down the road at...
