it does indeed suck that arcade was one of the few places in this country that i felt at home in. it had a second-hand bookshop and a punk rock record store, and a neat little alternative gallery/coffee shop where i used to go and read my bad poetry to an audience of assorted hobos, bums and misfits.

oh well, it means either one of two things: a total refurbishment to make it a proper arts-hangout, or a total refurbishment into some yuppified starschmucks shopping mall. i hope and pray it's the former

As far as I know Aeon Flux is not available in dvd. Fortunately, I was able to pick up a couple VHS that MTV released several years ago and I dust them off once in awhile and watch them. Such a great cartoon....

heya mary, i'm really looking forward to the religion issue! as it happens, my parents go to an evangelical christian church where they practice faith healing, and only on thursday my mum was looking forward to experiencing "the mighty rushing wind"--- which totally freaked me out

not only that, my brother-in-law, starting this week, has become a paid 'pastor' (ugh, how i hate that word) at the very same church.
