Sorry to hear about your Wireless card. If you ever have that problem again, you might check out the NDISWrapper project - I've found that works pretty well for unsupported Network Cards (wired & wireless) under Linux. It's odd installing a Windows Driver under Linux, but if it works I'm not complaining.

Broadcast Television is free to the consumer, but highly regulated and Commercially Sponsored in such a way that the majority of the viewing public cannot avoid easily. TiVo is changing this, but even they are thinking of injecting ads when you are fast forwarding through the other commercials.
If P2P / BitTorrent technologies were used - what's to stop us from building our own "clients" to skip the advertising?? It would be a great way to go, but neither Apple nor the Networks wouldn't make a dime...
