if you're driving around silverlake looking, try the building that is the first one up edgecliffe dr. south of sunset on the west side of edgecliffe (bet. lucille and maltman). i have no idea if anything's available there, but they seemed to have a steady turnover. the manager is cool in a macabre sort of way (sorry, i've forgotten his name. it might be randy). they have decent-sized singles for 600. it's the cheapest i foound in silverlake. they liked someone else's app better than mine.
