I got my mouth stitches out at the dentist. I came home and ate a Thin Mint, since I've had $45 worth of girl scout cookies sitting in my house for a week that I haven't been able to touch. Torture.
Very very sadly, I missed Ms Neko Case yesterday, as I got out of work too late . A bit bummed, but I... Read More
Northwestern is offering me the mucho buckos, so unless MIT can hold a candle to their offer, I may have to give up my dork dream of going to MIT and marry NU for money.

Hope you're feeling better. I'd say Neko wasn't that good...but I'd be lying a lot. She did say she'd be coming back through at the Henry Fonda in May or June though.
My work licenses some Oracle database stuff that is pretty much the same as Amazon's system, down to exactly the same interface for checkout. So, the four hours I spent learning about it was mind-numbing.
I have a friend who really is a man of leisure, semi-retired at 26, and he's busier than anyone I know. I spent the evening playing videogames with my roommates. I think I'm supposed to be realizing something here.
last.fm has made me realize that my primary listening experience has moved to the iPod. I guess moving my stereo into the living room for communal use has sort of made it tough to listen to the less tuneful stuff.
you didn't miss too much with Animal Collective. The venue seemed (and sounded) more like a hip-hop club than a concert venue. AC kept doing these 10 minute vocal jam. Cool in theory but semi boring in practice. When they actually played stuff off of Feels it was pretty good.
but in the end, it was just too loud for me and i left 3/4 of the way through their set. I could hear the bass for about 2 blocks outside the venue and could ID the song for about a block.
If you have any garlic cloves around, you can put a sliver of one in your ear. There's a compound called allicin in it that has some antibacterial properties.
edit 809pm: HOLY CRAP BLUES BROTHERS IS ON. YESSSSSSS.
Sleepy Chipmunk Update:
Man, if I didn't have a wonderful boyfriend, mommy, and boss, this whole thing would be fuxord. I am a lucky little chubby-cheeks.
I've been throwing up and nauseous all day (mostly from the really strong antibiotic they gave me, the vicodin doesn't help the tummy either, though). It's finally starting to subside,... Read More
I just went back and listened to that Talking Heads version of I Walk The Line. I'm guilty of occasionally downloading songs you post and not bothering my arse to thank you or review them. This one was...interesting! I don't know what I was expecting but it certainly wasn't that. I actually laughed at first. Good though.
Your journal entry for the day you posted that song: Glasgow or Montreal? I've never been to Montreal but I can guarantee you'll have a good time in Glasgow. If you decide to go, let me know and I'll give you a list of things you don't want to miss!
Where should the mister and I go on vacation this summer? I kind of want to go to Glasgow or Montreal (weird, right?), but I'm definitely up for suggestions.
Bye bye wisdom teeth, see you in HELL! Enjoy your last night in the warm, damp, and somewhat tasty confines of my mouth, for tomorrow in your place shall be only gaping maws!
Good luck this morning. As long as they give you a halfway respectable prescription, you'll be able to go on vacation anywhere you want for the next few days ... in a narcotic cloud.
My ears still hurt even though this is my last day of antibiotics, so we'll see .
Reasons why I'm not longer scared of getting my wisdom teeth out thursday:
- vicodin
-xanax
-adavan
-nitrous
Let's hope I can't get near a computer when I'm that tore up.

I honestly don't know why I get sucked into threads like that. I think it's my way of reaching across the internet to slap stupid people. Honestly, some of the things that get said there... I would punch people if they said it to my face.

Bob Odenkirk get interviewed and Sarah Silverman and Paul F Thompkins do stand up, among other things. It was so much fun and, needless to say, the insanely huge Mr. Show fan in me geeked out really hard.
Whew, my account went grey there for awhile, and I got all twitchy.
While stuck in traffic last night, I heard a Dr. Scholl's commercial describe their product as "totally outrageous". Via SMS, ButtonButton and I came up with new commercials for the company, since they were down with being "totally outrageous.".
