Old people never cease to amaze me. Just when you think you've got them pegged, they say something that blows you away. All that damn experience I guess.

Yah, they suck ass. I only listen to the local indie radio station. And I can't afford to go to a clear channel concert anyway, so I'm with you.

Unfortunately, if the story is true, I'm sure they will end up ahead if they didn't have to pay the fine. They will certainly not lose as much income from boycotts as they would have with the fine. I personally think you have to have some kind of dedication to stand up for your employees when you are supposed to be the purveyor of free speech (even if it's regulated free speech). But that's probably why I'm not the CEO of a multi-million dollar corporation.

And as far as giving you something to do while waiting to die- no that's what sex is for.

maybe you could let me know what brand/model u own... I've got to shop around but it would be good to get some input from people who have already been shooting on one...

hehe... Well, I finally got to read the article in the Dallas Morning News, and apparently I was misinformed about the connection to my neighborhood - they are here in Dallas, but not necessarily in my part of Dallas. Scary stuff, though - apparently these guys call themselves ther Zetas, and they're like the organized crime equivalent of the Navy Seals. Yeah, wouldn't want to piss them off. The guys in my meighborhood, I think they're more like the organized crime version of the Air Force Reserves.

As for tax returns, I haven't done mine yet but should be getting a fat check when I do. Of course, I earned it by being unemployed for most of the first half of this year, so it all balances out to me still being dirt poor.

Edited to add: yeah, I do definitely need to get out of this neighborhood. The tax check will help, but it will be a few months yet. Hope I survive that long.

Yeah, I'm actively planning getting out of here as soon as my finances permit. It might be a few months, though. Also contemplating getting a weapon or two. And we and our neighbors are plotting ways to catch these guys in the act of doing something, anything, so they can be removed from the neighborhood. Our neighborhood watch program is literally a day old, and I'm sure that things will continue to develop. One thing that we have been advised to do is to try and get them busted on violating city ordinances, for stuff like not mowing their lawn, etc.

I added a couple more pictures today.
I think my 3 day weekend will help with my stress levels.
My dieting is actually not bad. I just eat lots of fruits and veggies. It was my old meds that made me gain weight and one of the girls at the gym said that after I was off them that I'd lose it pretty easy.
