Awesome day today. Made first tracks on several runs. It was amazingly warm, and not windy at all. And I escaped with nothing worse than a sprained thumb.
Sounds like you had a brilliant day on the slopes. I spent the last 24 hours having to deal w/ the "The Giants are going to win today" and when I got to work last night (worked a night shift because I had today off) people in my department were wigging when they won in O/T. Friggin' Giants! I hate them w/ a passion!
Not much to report really. Still working my new job at TDA, and I'm enjoying it despite the frustration and stress that comes with it. RadioShack was a lot easier, but boy was it boring. That and it only paid 1/3 what TDA does.

Went up snowboarding at Eldora today. Had an epic fail on the 3rd run. Caught the toe edge and faceplanted hard. Probable concussion, possibly a minor broken nose, and significant blood loss. Ouch. Alex scored it a 5.5, Eddie scored it an 8.

I tell you what, though. I've definitely learned that we make our own luck and opportunity. And it's not even an aggressiveness thing. I'm not that aggressive.
Check it out. When I went through Airborne School in 2002, there were 300 people in the class to start. about 100 failed out for various reasons, but 200 of us made it to Jump Week. Out of those 200, there were 8 people who froze in the door and had to be "helped" out of the airplane. Of those eight, seven of them were like "Wow, that wasn't as bad as I thought it would be," and completed the remaining four jumps and earned their Parachutist's Badge.
The lesson learned from this? It's never as bad as what we think it will be. Time and time again, I've found that out, but sometimes I still need convincing.
