Fuck. I heard back from someone in the Fire Dept today who said that he overheard the chief speaking to some of the people that interviewed me. They said I might not be hired on. I should go fuck them up. Ha. Oh well. Not the end of the world. It's not definite that I won't be hired but I'd say it's about 75% sure that it is now a 'no.'
