jail sucks! i got arrested on my birthday this year, it was a giant mess. i'm also in the same boat with my parents, they'd flip out if they found out i got arrested. the worst part of my experience so far has been dealing with lawyers, just a heads up. hope everything works out!

Yeah I'm the same way. Its about civil liberties and civil rights. The thing that really pisses me off is that homosexuality is the last bastion of bigotry, well almost, in the US. Its still ok to hate homosexuals and to stomp over their Constitutional rights because they are gay! Fuck that! I do hope that one day our country and society will take another step forward like in the Sixties this time for gay rights... I'm not gay either just like I'm not a woman but I believe in a womans right to choose.
The only consolation is that in 2008 maybe Clinton will get nominated and hopefully win. A woman president would be awesome! But for the next four years i fear we are going to get seriously fucked!

I'm so fucking pissed right now. I hate this state! Tom Coburn? What the fuck? Im so thrilled we elected an extreme conservative to represent us in the senate. He supposedly sterilized some woman without her permission and he has conservative views on sexuality. Im not suprised but I'm still fucking irate. Dammit!

haha I think I should take my own advice more often. I have a quandry of my own about this girl at work. It really sucks cause for some reason unkown to me...you know how when sometimes when you meet someone you get all butterflied in the stomach. Yeah well thats what I've been getting but the problem is. There is this other guy there that is trying himself so I'm getting really mixed signals. She's hanging with him but always at least I think, keeps looking over towards me and we play that you look I look away, I look you look away games. Blah! Why can't this shit be simple haha

the whole situation with your friend sounds shitty! if the guy doesn't have your back, is he truly a friend? anywhoo, there are better nights to check out each of the clubs i mentioned, but it changes from week to week because they all book a lot of national acts. i would suggest going to pollstar.com and looking at their listing of shows for the okc area (they give a fairly complete run down of scheduled shows).

Situations with friends are tough, and I totally agree with the I'm sorry but... that is just assy.

I did the research on judges by typing their names, the state and judge into google. Then a bunch of hews articles and personal pages came up. I based my decisions on the decisions they made that made news. I also found a political affiliations listing page which had all of them lined up by conservative, liberal moderate etc, so unless they did something I found very cool, like standing up to the Catholic Church I voted no for all of the people who leaned too far left or right. Judges need to sit in the middle.

Anyway that was about all I could do, it was very time consuming. Towards the evening I got a housemate to help me out and then we shared the same sample ballot when we went to the polls since we share research and the same opinions on all of the candidates and issues. I could not have gone to the polls without my already filled out sample ballot. I must have voted on 150 people and things.

thanks for noticing my wonderful taste in music (ha!), there are actually a couple of places in the okc area that have good live music. the best place, and it really depends night to night, is probably the green door (located in bricktown). another venue that is a little "crustier" is the conservatory (located on western). other than that vzd's (i can't remember which road its on) is probably the next best thing, but like i said earlier it is really situational (i've seen really shitty bands at all three places and really good bands too!). smile

I just got off the phone with the adoption lady. The family I want for my daughter has not yet been taken so they'll more than likely get her. I hope all goes well with that. My ex bf was adopted. And a while ago, I found out that another one of my exs brothers (who is also one of my pals) told the ex thats adopted that his parents didnt love him cos they gave him up. People can be very very cruel. ::le sigh:: there will always be some kinda doubts in my mind. I try to be happy and whatnot but you just cant help the "what ifs" that go thru your head.

I appreciate what you said. I know alot of SGs who are adopted actually. I guess that sometimes I wonder "OMG people will pick on her in school, and tell her her parents didnt love her" and then im scared that i'll choose the wrong parents for her....I got this packet in the mail from the adoption place, and they sent me like...little bios on each family. And one lady was like "I dont believe in children watching TV or having a computer until they're in hi'skool" I was like OH NO! And I just wanna buy her all sorts of baby clothes and stuff....and I have full intentions of filling up a box to give to the adoptive parents. I derno...its all very overwhelming. And its difficult to be happy about it. frown

Once again not much new here. Its rainy and all I want to do is sleep. However, I will be getting my lazy ass up because some drugstore is holding a function to learn more about their company and they are providing free drinks. Yeah, free drinks! Hopefully it will be worth it.
