Well I've lived with people fresh from the parent's before.. usually they have a bad idea of boundaries (cleaning up, noise, etc) and just generally behave badly. Sometime they expect their roommates to clean up after them. Being clean is half the battle really, and try to find someone who have relatively the same ideas you do about noise, what time you're up, cleaning wise and that kind of thing.
