25 Years Ago: I was born; my Dad had recently been fired and so we had no insurance. My Mother got kicked out of the hospital after a night.
20 Years Ago: I was a Kindergardner. I was good friends with a girl, Julia; and she saved up money to buy me a board game. Nice girl I liked school.
15 Years Ago: I was 10 and in 4th grade. I had my best teacher ever, Vicki Vaughn. I was out spoken, shy (at the same time!) and had trouble getting along with my peers.
10 Years ago: I was 15; horribly shy, desperately in love with a girl who didn't share my affection. Badly depressed. Sophomore year SUCKED
5 Years ago: I was about to move to Ireland for a semester abroad; one of the best times of my life. I'd meet some of my best friends there; several of whom I still keep in contact with. They seemed to believe me when I told them I'd be President someday.
1 Year Ago: I was teaching in Alaska. One night in October, a s drunk student tried to break into my house, screaming he was going to kill me. It destroyed what ever love I still had of teaching, and caused me to spiral into a pretty blank mood for the next few months. I began carrying weapons around my house.
This Year: Started Grad School. Although a bit lonely and concerned that I may not be cut out for it; I'm still throwing myself into it and enjoying myself pretty much.
Yesterday: Did school work at the library and had a good discussion of a book in class. Came home and did more work.
Today: Found out about the "Society of Creative Anachornism", got invited to a meeting tomorrow. Did more school work.
Tomorrow: Comic book day Having the evil HS 701 class, where I'm giving a presentation (YAY! I love presenting) and then going to that meeting I was invited to today. Doing school work.
This weekend: Going on a field trip to do some restoration on a German-Russian homestead from the turn of the century. Plan on doing lots of physical labor (YAY! I love hard work....seriously; I'm not kidding) and then drinking with the rest of the people.
Future: Will continue to hammer away at Grad School, plan on asking a girl at work out, and will strive to put together the social life I so desperately need, and miss.
