I just found out one of my friends from treatment is in the hospital. My heart really goes out to her, because, obviously, I can identify with her struggle. Please send some positive thoughts out into the universe for her. She's only 17 and so smart and wonderful. She deserves to have a full, fulfilling life ahead of her.

Normally I don't much care for celebrity gossip, but UK gossip rags have reported that Lindsay Lohan plans a commitment ceremony with Samantha Ronson at Dollywood. I started my new job teaching English as a Second Language, and I really like it so far. It's nice to have a job that reminds me how I can be useful.

I spent the weekend at my brother's graduation. So fun! Barack Obama gave the commencement address and, with his youth and magically crowd-taming voice, edged out Philip Glass as my latest celebrity crush. As difficult as life can be, right now I see, and really believe, it is a gift.

I have an interview Thursday for a summer job. The job would involve teaching English at a school for Japanese businessmen. As some of you may know, I really enjoy teaching English as a second language, and I'd like to think I'm darn good at it. So wish me luck!
