sort of. they're "redesigning" it. pretty much everything 'downtown' is going to get demolished or moved on a rolling basis over the next 6 years. they'll build one thing, then knock something else down, start building on that spot, and so on (on both sides of 30a). everything but the two big buildings are going, even sundog.

back in october i was driving to work on highway 98. there were two motorcycles about a third or a mile in front of me. we were all going about 80 mph, when suddenly the red one wobbled and completely wiped out. the rider flipped on the road about 4 times at about 40 mph (give or take). his cycle flew to pieces in about a 50 yard diameter. i had to snap out of the shock to slow down and not drive over the guy. i called 911, and doctor saw to him. fortunately he was wearing a helmet, jacket and gloves, but he was still pretty fucked up (the road ripped through his jacket, shirt, pants, underwear, and skin!). a helicopter had to carry him to pensacola. i never found out if he survived, but i'm sure as hell never riding a motorcycle again.
