I forget the first guy's name, but I hope he realizes that he has Ashlee to thank for still being there. Ashlee has the full support of the hip-hop and funk style community on the side right now. That means, just about every b-boy, popper, locker, and anyone who knows who she is, what she does, and just how seriously dope a popper she is, is voting, repeatively (me included). And if you saw her dance solo (and hopefully soon you will), you'd see why.
Anyway, so you wanna be a street dancer? Any specific style you wanna learn (b-girl, popping, tutting, locking)? They serve as good resources, material to learn about the moves and history of the styles. Also, hope you're able to find a good bboy or popping crew wherever you are right now. They're not always the easiest to find, depending on your location. But, some good places to look are nightclubs, community centers, and some dance studios.
