Why is it that whenever I go out with you guys I end up with a sore right hand? blackeyed

Bowling was fun: I'm already looking forward to the next time!
Incidentally, are there any good pool halls around? That wouldn't be too bad an idea for a meet-up!

I have photos too but they won't be up until I sort through my backlog. Still haven't...

Ahhh, but the Shetlands has ponies. Iceland has lame 'horses', which by the way, are well below the 14.2 cut off for a horse but we can humour them. The shetands however, they're where it's at!

Hmm. I was gonna blog something yesterday but I can't remember what now.

Anyway, I've started uploading my photos to my flickr account.

Go straight to my Holland set or my Belgium set.

More to come!

Having too much time is bad.
It means I can go exploring things on the Internet. Things other than porn.

I'm going to need some sort of ... tool. A tool for keeping track of the different online communities that I'm in. And to remind me to maintain the different blogs I have in these communities:

For example, I just signed up to VOX....

but I'm shy blush and proud. I like to have some control in all honesty, I feel as though I'll just make a dick of myself if I open my mouth tongue

Hell I do in pretty every other circumstance.

know what you mean. Give it a year or so and it will exist (but it'll probably be horribly infested with spyware).

So Canberra was a monster I'd rather not visit again; but I was quickly pulled out of that when Rh1an5 asked me to help him in his shop so he could catch up on some work.

It was pretty easy work, really, when I didn't have to ask Rh1an5 yet another question that I couldn't answer myself. But I quickly worked out how to use...

Sometimes things just don't go your way.
Either you change too much or other people change too much.

Ultimately, old promises can no longer be kept and old friendships can no longer be justified. It's just not worth one's time.

It's a real pity, but I suppose I can scratch another of life's mysteries off the list now.

Next stop: NYC and then on to...

It's been about a week, so I should probably blog something. Let's see...

I saw my grandmother last week. The old battle-axe is still alive and kicking just after her ninetieth birthday, though no one's really sure how it happened. Back then they told me she looked like she was about to kick the bucket any moment. Now she's back to good health again. I...

Silly isn't it. I'm just finding everything is feeling I suppose the best phrase is post-modern?
No one is looking back, everyone's acting as though something hasn't happened before and all they examine are the symptoms (in everything). Its quite silly really, but then I suppose somethings about humanity never do. tongue

That dog has a fluffy tail!!!

My sister had her baby last night. A boy named Jordan Gregory.

Apparently it all happened very quickly:
8:00pm - Start pushing
8:32pm - Baby deployed

I had a concurrent timeline going on while I was at my sister's house watching her first child:
8:00pm - Order pizza
8:28pm - Pizza arrives
8:32pm - Eating commenced oink

After my first real relationship where I was in love I kind of became a cynic about what I like to call "Love Theory". I didn't believe in it and came to the conclusions that it's just some made up crap from hollywood, invented to sell movies. I was very much in a dark place in my life and very lost. I guess I've come around again but I don't know if I could be as hopeful as you seem to be about Love Theory. I'm looking forward to finding someone but I don't believe I could ever be in love again the way I was the first time.

Stuff. Things!
List-based round-up!:

  • My sister has officially entered labour with her second child at the young age of 25 (she's 25, not the kid, of course). Apparently, that means she'll squeeze it out some time this week. The funny part is how pass she is about it:
Me: "So you're having contractions or what?"
Her: "Contractions? (waves hand dismissively) Pfft. Yeah. Always having them."...

And so the great 2.2-year adventure ends.

I've touched down in Australia and have elected to stay with my family on the Gold Coast until I decide what to do next or where to go next. They haven't seen me (nor I, them, naturally) in over two years and they seem quite delighted. I want to be more enthusiastic, but I haven't the energy. I've...

I'm in Shanghai now and I'm finding it difficult to leave. Not necessarily because the city is great (it's fine) but because I'm staying with people that work for the Australian Consulate. I see what the Aussie tax dollars are paying for and I am in the lap of luxury.

Definitely no complaints here.

Shanghai Art Museum has a really great exhibition on at the...
