Well now. What amazing things can I regale all with? Nothing really.
Went to my philosophy of religion class today.. wasn't that interesting.. at least the teacher is taking better control of the class so that crazy people aren't ranting over the discussion. Grr.
Then I met up w/ this cute girl that I had training with for community respite work. She showed me around her house, and we talked about animals a lot. (strange for me) and laid out in the sun on a blanket. She checked out my place after and enjoyed the chickens and seeing Strong Bad for the first time.
I kinda like her, but didn't make any kind of move, although was thinking about it. She's soo busy though I think even if we did start dating it would be impossible. And she's a kickboxer so she can protect me if we were attacked by the E-Street Gang while walking down an alley. She's another in a long line of girls I've known who are absolute knockouts and have body issues. Oh well, at least she doesn't cut herself up like some of the others have. This is a fucked up world.
On another note I whipped up a great dinner for Fiona (my roommate/landlord) and I. Tortellini in a spinach basil sauce with extra aged white cheddar cheese and fresh tomatoes to top it off. Quite delish. I feel so good generally in this house that I feel like cooking again! Yay!
The chickens keep escaping, but we've devised a clever way to keep them out of the garden. Apparently we're getting rid of some of the younger ones that can fly higher over the wire and get out and stuff. No I don't live on a farm. I live in a really cool residential neighbourhood (near downtown) and we have chickens. People are always shocked to hear it. And the fresh eggs are soo good. Yummy dark golden yolks. Perfect for Eggs Benedict or Poached Eggs on Toast. Mm. Eggs.
Getting excited for the upcoming NCRA Conference in Winnipeg. Cross country road trip! That's a long distance and I haven't been on a road trip in ages.
Been listening to more Jack Nitzsche and writing e-mails and trying to get like a million things together.
I have one friend now. Yay for Tiamat!
That's all.. thank god for the road trip as I'm suffering from party/alcohol withdrawal. (no I'm not an alcoholic, but I haven't been out for a good time in a while) Enough of my whining. I'd also recommend everyone to listen to CFUV the greatest station in all the land.. for whom I will soon be Music Director.
Now I just need to land a job that pays...
