Notes on Adding to the Cultural Lexicon:
I was in the metro striking up a conversation with co-workers, like you do, and my co-worker told a story about a neighbourhood bar involved a false wall.
This prompted me to tell my own story involving a false wall.
The poor 3rd co-worker unfortunately had no false wall story.
On thinking of this I noted how it's...

Okay it's time to get serious.
But not sober.
Never, ever sober. Especially after buying some ambrosiac apple cider with a high alcohol content and a scotch-like feel to it.. amazing.
In other news, a few not so salient, albeit brief reviews:
X-Men 3 - the Last Stand - Entertaining, but they should have adapted the Grant Morrison material in my opinion.. congrats for killing...

I liked most of Jubilee... granted, it sorta runs out of fuel at the end.... but I do love Jordan so, Ms. Amyl Nitrate.
cheech:
Exactly! "Rule Britannia" is the segment of the movie I bootlegged, sort of a music video moment. I like the cackling mad-ass bald guy, too. The movie could've used more a that.
Tonight I chatted with Joanna Newsom (and was wowed by her show), traded sartorial tips with David Byrne, and spoke with assorted solo artists, members of the Arcade Fire & the Hidden Cameras, have lovely ladies giving me the eye and drank down some sweet sweet ale.
Last night was some old cowboy stories with Ramblin' Jack Elliot and tomorrow's rockin' out to Roky Erickson....

I've read the first two or three chapters. Brilliant, but so fundamentally empty that I could go no further. I have enough diarrhea in my own brain, I don't need somebody else's.
acidgrampa:
I usually try to finish what I start, but I knew that just wasn't going to be worth it.
Michel Houellebecq's books, on the other hand, are well worth it.
But I think we already established that.

Soon none of my heroes will be left alive.
I know what you mean.

I didn't know this was happening, thanks for posting it. I wish somebody would put together a silent auction or something, I would make something really special for donation.
Wait a minute. Do I need to go back and click all the links on that wikipedia page? I probably rolled right over the big "silent auction donation" link.

Sometimes nothing is more satisfying than coming home cooking up a pork chop, some mushrooms and red peppers and a big pile of mashed potatoes and goin' to town with plenty of leftovers for tomorrow.
Now to curl up in my bed with "Infinite Jest" and enjoy my post-potato bliss.

.35 cents extra for cheese on the ham & egg special. It's always on rye.
Saunter out of the 'King of Smoked Meat' - I don't know what it is, but I feel like a king, I'm hopped up discounted Jack D, hydrogenated vegetable oils, not so kosher salt and the tender lips of potato they've been wrapped around.

That normally requires at least one other person.

A mission for another day. I have a night shift to work tomorrow so the evening is remaining low key.

Are you sure it's not aliens?
It's amazing how a hangover during a short shift at work can turn the day into a Kafkaesque nightmare.

You led me to two new singles by The Legends. I owe you something.

Yeah, pretty scary stuff.
I purchased amelie and the royal tenenbaums. I could have sworn I owned the latter, but couldn't find it. So I picked up another copy

Inks: Speedball makes a good fabric ink. (Speedball is probably the only brand you'll find in Montreal art stores, anyhow.) British Blueprint Company have great prices, but they were out of black and white, when I was last there. Try Omer TresChere. They're usually around $10-$15 per pot. Also, look for extender base. I'm not sure if they make that for fabric inks, but it's worth a shot and will save us $$$ in the long run.
lotus:
oh yeah, he's married, but it would be funny.

What movie?
