I'm an animal.

Why is the cute girl I went on a date with on Saturday night have a boyfriend? And why is she going on dates with me. So confusing. The interesting ones always are.

I've been drinking, circusing, pokering, carousing, dancing, sweating, betting, vetting. It's a lot.

Soon I hope to the writing, biting, fighting, djing, swaying, and howling at the moon.

If...

Enjoy.

Whitewater rafting is awesome.

We hit the Red River about 1.25 hours northwest of Montreal and it was intense. The water was high - 130 cubic metres a second passing through any given spot in the river. 4 trips down the river - only came out of the boat once .. in the dreaded Washing Machine.

This is a class 4+ rapid (the scale is...

How have you been, by the way??? I heard you were hitting up mad amounts of concerts lately??

I'm your man...

If anyone was doing anything better than seeing an over 3 hour Leonard Cohen concert this evening like I was, then the next time I see you I'll by you a drink.

Holy fuck.

OK.

I specifically asked you about this particular subject, now didn't I?

and no response.

I believe I've caught you on the tail end of my groveling days...

So refriend me, you snobby little jerk!

scheisskopf:
Thanks for the tip, chief.

So was Avalanche on the LC songlist the other night?

Ok, enough bitching and moaning about romance.

This is shaping up to be a pretty sweet week - tomorrow is St. Jean Baptiste - the ultimate Quebec party day so I'll be hitting up a boozy soiree somewhere for sure.

Wednesday I get to see one of my personal heroes in concert - the almighty Leonard Cohen, so I'm super excited about that.

Thursday I...

Remember to fill us in on the Leonard Cohen thing. I've always wondered what he would be like live.

Note to self: Avoid artsy neurotic francophone girls. They are romantic trouble.

Addendum to note: Why is this so freaking hard?

Footnote to addendum: Why does it seem that once you've dated someone in a group of friends all the friends start hitting on you after you've broken up?

Resolution to footnote : Maybe I need to get out of town for awhile.

PS. How...

I've noticed the same thing where one gets picked up by a friend of one with whom one has broken up. I don't imagine there's too much to be regarded as mysterious in it; friends of an ex have had a chance to get to know you a bit, someone they know found you at least a little bit desirable, which puts you a step ahead of just being a complete stranger.
rubix:
ah* yes.. those artsy neurotic francophone girls.... the worst kind out there!

I smell like BBQ.

It's lovely.

43 things is a website where you list things you want to do and then update on your progress. One feature that I'd forgotten about is the ability to send yourself an e-mail after a specified amount of time to ask how you're doing. It's pretty neat.

I feel lonely.

Like the girl who's in love with the boy who doesn't return her calls.

I was cleaning my room the other day when I discovered a mysterious pair of panties. As panties go, they're quite cute - a dark purple with multicoloured polka dots.

So far I have been unable to determine the strange source of the spontaneous pantybustion, except that being the lovely image that they are, I may have popped them into existence through a manifestation of...

Wait a minute, do they look like this?

She told me they were missing, along with some books and a backgammon set.

Lemonkid's Non-sequitur Game.

Whomever posts in this journal will receive a return post that is a complete non-sequitur from whatever you posted. It will be a random bit of whatever is on my mind at the time.

I've entered that in my small Notebook of Profundities, which I keep in a custom-fitted glass case.

Then you must catch it before it vanishes because it's incredibly amusing and offensive to Muslims. Wot?!

What have I been up to?

Well Ophelie and her friend Laure-Helene have been visiting from Paris, so we've been hanging out, drinking and dining in the M-T-L and generally going 'round breakin' young girls' hearts.. wooo.

I've been recently seduced by the world of lomography, and I've joined their cheap zany ranks.. keep an eye of for some fisheye photography in the weeks to...
