Off for the weekend following a breakneck day of getting stuff done. Down to Worcester to see family, catch up with a friend that just moved back to the area after five years, schmooze with a radio associate, and drink beer and watch the Red Sox in the World Series for the first time since I was nine years of age. That's first time in...

you're in west leb? holy crap. i lived in n. haverhill, do you know where that is? woodsville-type area... well, that is where my dad lives. i technically "lived" there for 2 years, but now i live in Portland. i am from Woodstock (20 minutes north of plymouth state), and when parents split i lived with dad for a while. portland is better, though. ah i love it here. NH sucks sometimes...
sixothree:
yeah, that's pretty much what it is. nice to look at, boring to live there. blah

Jadedcoca is not waking up a happy girl this AM. Main reason being, Sox won. tongue However, I refuse to get into full blown taunt mode as the Sox would STILL have to win two straight in New York, no easy task. As long as the lurrvely Avalari continues to impose hexes on certain Yankee players, I think we'll be okay.

Tonight is my week to...

Today I had a broadcast at Okemo, for their job fair. In a fit of randomness, happened to meet a girl who grew up in my little hometown of Princeton, MA. That was a small-world shocker.

The drive back from Ludlow VT to I-91 midway through October is always one I cherish. The foliage is past-prime but not completely gone. I was listening to The...

The score is 13-6. I don't even think a miracle could save this game. *sigh* I hope you aren't ragging on "Under the Milky Way." I love that song. surreal

Have fun watching the game with the ex. Maybe you'll get to a few bases yourself? shocked (j/k)
jule:
I find it amusing that whenever I try to summon "Under the Milky Way" out of my memory banks, "Under the Tahitian Moon" or whatever it is called plays in my head. What can I say, I'm a geek and for some reason I feel I have to share this with a stranger. confused

It's looking pretty bleak. I think I'll turn my TV off now. *sigh* Night. kiss

I was awaken by the gentle POUND POUND POUND of the door at 7 this morning. Had to move my jeep so they could install some god damn fence or something. I was having a great dream too. This better be one fucking snappy-ass fence.

Yes... we have Yankee Candles. I'm not going to reject it because of its name.... but I know more than a few people that would. tongue

Speaking of candles, I found some creepy ones in the office a few days ago that are like... 1800s style dresses... on a body.. and where the head would be, the wick is. They're so badass, haha, i'll have to take a picture soon smile biggrin

Exactly what "impliments" would one use to break thumbs? robot
jule:
Yeah. I try to stay away from Loudon road as it is complete hell most of the time. Then again it's the direct route to Wal-mart, the only place open past 8pm in Concord.

I'm going to be racing home to watch the game after I get out of work. Hopefully I'll only miss under an hour of it. Go Sox! Cross your thumbs.
biggrin

Night.

Hell yeah, ORTIZ!

Yanks are going down this year. I can feel it in my bones.

I think a lot of people on the site have been having problems with pics the last few days. It isn't just you.

smile
jule:
Don't forget to add GO PATS! to that as well. biggrin

Wow, I wrote a whopping three entries in September. Ba-de-ya.

I have returned though. The last two weeks saw me barely home, always at work, quite a reversal to this past summer. which consisted of lots of idle time and little work hours. This all involves a fill-in stint I agreed to back in June, not knowing I'd be back to the winter job so...

you have man made snow up there already??? damn i wish i could still ski...and was willing to pay for it wink
jule:
When everyone was trying to teach me at Gunstock, they kept telling me that it was easier to learn how to snowboard. Especially if you already knew how to ski. Only, I would always see these poor snowboarder kids with sprained or broken wrist bones. So be careful. What's your favorite place to ski around here? I have friends who go all the time. (Having a Jeep for free passes doesn't hurt, either. wink )

Monday was a rather interesting day. I'm back 9-to-5ing it at the "winter job," so it was a good feeling to be back in the office. Not so good sifting through 400 emails that went unchecked since April when I last logged into my work computer. 35% viruses, 35% spam, 20% memos that had little or nothing to do with me, 10% emails that had...

Dude... you've been awol for over a week now.

Seriously, dude, no ski reports need to go out at this time of year.
Yesterday was the first day of "fall", not "snow fall".

Red Sox still blow donkey dick. I hope the Twins play them first in the wild card round. Show those bitches who really is boss. I hope you're enjoying the glove of the "Super Fox"... because that's all he really brings to the table.

tonguemiao!!
rxqueen:
where have you been?!??!???

It's Friday night. I've got beer, a Red Sox game on the tube, and scripts and copy to write.

My "real job" starts Monday, back in the office preparing for another winter of ski reports! My days of poverty are almost done. The radio-station gig and, as long as they remain in the post season, minor league baseball job continues. Three jobs, mon. Three jobs!...

I just wanted to express my love, or lack there of, for your Sox. I hope their team plane goes down in a firey ball!!! However, I would prefer to play them versus the Yankees in the first round of playoffs. frown This makes me sad since I hate both.

What other sports do you like? I know about baseball and skiing. I hope you are having a good first week back at the office. smile

It's Wednesday afternoon, the humidity is gone, it's gorgeous out, and I'm still inside for some reason. Why?

The weather ended up being fantastic to catch a ballgame last night, my first time at Fenway Park in three years. I went with an old friend/co-worker of mine who I hadn't seen in a year and a half or so, and we had a blast. Warm...
