hahahhaa.. I know what you're talking about. Every once in a while, I'll swing in AE to see if they've stopped sucking yet. They never have. I actually have to go in there this year for Christmas shopping.. my sister wants a particular sweater. blackeyed

I could probably order it online though..hmmm...
sarahg:
that's true. i'm not sad about it, though, i don't think. i don't think i'll be around when western civilization goes all the way down the tubes. so.. yayyyyy i get to participate! robot

I seem to always be drawn to performances by old-fart-rock-and-rollers in small venues. I've seen Richie Havens, Roger McGuinn and Arlo Guthrie up here in New Hampshire on the "Opera House Circuit" and they've all been great.

Next up: the great and sometimes misunderstood Al Kooper. Misunderstood in that he's not Alice Cooper, but Al Kooper. Played organ on Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone,"...

SPECIAL!!!! Captain Morgan's, 19.99, limited time at a New Hampshire State Liquor Store near you.

I love the concept of the state liquor store. Why have a sales tax when the state can rake in the profit from liquor sales? Here in New Hampshire, you don't even have to get off the highway to buy booze. We have rest areas specifically devoted to liquor sales....

I once had one of those Poe-esque dreaming I was dreaming I was dreaming dreams, it was frightening. blackeyed

Don't know Aphex Twin? It is ambient music. Very tranquil. His song "Flim" always makes me happy. A great CD of thiers on Amazon

Go to bed, silly. If I promise you go to bed, will you? Then we can go to bed together. kiss

Don't have a fav. local place really but Mt. Holly is the better of all the local spots. Of the places that I have actually been I would have to say Toronto. smile

Slow weekend. Saturday consisted of waking up very late, Sunday consisted of being cooped up in the studio all day at Job #2, creating programming nobody listened to because I had to compete with the Patriots being on at that time (they won, woohoo).

Well, it's quarter past 3 am and this is now my morning. Yes, my "winter schedule" has begun at Job #1,...

Perhaps I'll make a pilgrimage to Okemo this weekend, as the roster of ski areas continues to expand. More snowmaking weather tonight smile

I ordered a snowboard today. I'm a skier of 20 years but I feel the time has come to expand my repertoire. Basically, I'm told I'm going to be spending lots of time with a sore ass if I'ma learn riding.

What's with...

Bought Bob Dylan's "Oh Mercy." You never hear a lot about this one, but for an 80s Dylan album it's tough to beat. The Lanoisification certainly is alluring.

So, tomorrow is the big day. Killington. Ski season, day one. I can't wait. I will hopefully grab some on-snow pics so you can all be jealous. oink

And, uh, speaking of new pics... whatever blush

I had my first and second days at Louise this past weekend myself. Just one run open but MAN is it good to get out there!! Sunshine opens tomorrow (MY mountain biggrin ) I'm SO there...this season is going to kick some serious ass, I know it...I'll definitely let you know when I get some snow pics up. biggrin Thanks for letting me know about your pix! Looks like the snow was decent!

The funny thing is that they DID give me a raise and a promotion, hence all of the working my ass off. But it's alright, I have a lot of ass to work off. wink

Wow, nice pics. There is so much snow...scares me. I'm just not ready for winter, all the cold and slush and dirty snow on my car and brrr. I think I'll pout about it for a second or two.

Still sore? Hmm, need someone to rub you down?

(I onlt ask because I work with a few massage therapists. *cough*)

November started with a vengeance here in the North, complete with cold wind tearing the remaining leaves off the trees and a bit of snow north of where I live. In mere days I will be among the first to ski in the Northeast as Killington will open a top-to-bottom run. It all builds up from here, and I can't wait.

In other news, I...

If Bush wins (as of 1:30 am EST), actually there's some good to come out of that. I realized that if Dubya can be a TWO FUCKING TERM president, then someone of moderate intellect such as myself is capable of just about fucking anything.

Thanks Dubya. My self-esteem just went "Boing."

So, how are YOU?

skull

addendum: My middle initial is Dubya, for what it's worth.

It worked. The big eyes always work, baby. smile

That Kenmore Square comment reminds me of this one time I was on a date with this guy who was way older than me. He had his guitar with him because he was coming from a friend's house...he didn't bring enough money for the ride home and I was broke so he just whips out his guitar and sits on the grund in Harvard Square and starts playing. I was 17 and freaking out and like are you serious?

What part of NH is West Lebanon in? Other than West. kiss

Report from the Worcester Bureau:

-One down, three to go biggrin Go Sox.

-Enjoying some Madison, Wisconsin (??) beer. Spotted Cow or some similarly named brew. I'd tell you if the bottle weren't so far away.

-Wormtown's the same as it ever was. Not much to do but a few good places to eat.

-Overcast day but still some okay foliage around these parts. My dad...

I'm waiting for my Free Parking, myself, which is why I stand on Loudon Rd. with a "Checks Cashed" sign hoping someone will fall for it. No dice so far.

Game 3. They'd better win soon. I think I'm all hexed out. Might have to start wearing my lucky shirt just in case. (Not to be confused with my 'get lucky' shirt.) wink
